My team is required to be signed into a conference in Spark when working our account. That is not a bad thing, in fact it is quite educational because I am seeing just how ridiculous everything is. The account is verbatim, you only type a heading if it is dictated. Someone is worried that the doctor said Procedure for a heading naming the procedure and then later used procedure when beginning the real procedure. That MT was worried about getting dinged if she changed the name of one (to other description of procedure for the latter or procedure performed for the first). I do not blame her the question but it is ridiculous that one should even have to worry about it. Even if that error were even marked off 0.25 if it is a short report, then her pay could drop quite a bit.
Another instance I have seen lately is a lot of advice to pend a report if there is a question of work type. First of all, this goes against your QC, which is bad if you are marginal in that area, and it is ridiculouos that a report is held up for something sooo stupid. It should be going to the client. The other problem is even if QC fixes it, they may not leave you a note on how to handle the problem in the future. I had that issue recently too. It is just difficult to fathom it has come to this.
