I have used Shorthand 10 for several years and have never had as big a problem with expanding until I started using escription. I work on v. 9, 10 and 11 and am seeing errors that are clearly expander related that I absolutely do not see or catch when I am in the reports. I am to the point of starting from scratch on my Shorthand as it has so many entries that it would be easier just to start over. What I am wondering is what settings those of you who also use Shorthand have on escription. I have my pause at 20 msec every 1 keystroke, verify target keystrokes is checked and I use simulate clipboard paste. These are similar to settings I used on another platform and never had a problem. The Shorthand website recommends settings at 100 every 1 and that is extremely slow. I also just purchased a Stedmans spellchecker and am about to have the checker not check any of the escription dictionaries because there are words in there that are not even words and if my expander is not working well the spellchecker doesn't even catch it.
Sorry for the long post, but I am extremely irritated and have no resources other than this board. Thanks in advance for your input.
