I am considering requesting this pay which (depending on the state) considers us to be on-call and must be paid for part of our shift if no work.
I have had it up to here with Nuance and running out of work, adding more and more accounts and STILL no work. Got a second job and STILL being screwed by Nuance in the sense that I cannot rely on my first job (income wise), because when there is enough work they manage to screw my cpl with their lovely FIESA, then as soon as I have no errors the work runs out.
I hesitate to do partial UE because with the second job I may not qualify, also having to adjust week to week what is going on seems like a major time sucker. With this one it seems straightforward as long as you follow the OOW protocol - and when you are sitting there staring at the screen for 4 hours catching the dribs and drabs you might actually get paid something for it.
Someone had been on here a while ago and said she was successful with this and I just wondered if you do request this pay do you do it through your TSM or do you do it through payroll or something else?
I believe it is usually something like 1-4 hours at minimum wage or half your scheduled shift to be compensated for you sitting there waiting (link below). Better than nothing and it would feel darn good to make Nuance pay for their terrible scheduling and workflow management (capacity optimization my butt).
If anyone has been successful with requesting this pay can I request you share with us? I cannot find the previous message and I believe that person left Nuance and perhaps MT and may not be monitoring this board, but if she is I would love a response and/or a private email (for obvious reasons a response on this board might be better if possible).
If anyone has been doing the partial UE I would appreciate any info on that too, the good and bad of it, any Nuance retribution, etc.
If we can all fight this wage theft legally and share our pointers with others they won't be able to get us so easily. We have to try at least. Seeing how the Californians seem to be making headway gives me hope. Nuance have a team of lawyers no doubt working out how to screw us, but the law can work for us too.
Thanks.
