Just got a call from somebody at - Imedx

asking me why I haven't been working, this is nearly a month after the work vanished. I told her in my most p---sed off voice that there has been no work, no answers to emails, no calls, and no explaination as to anything, and they finally figured out how to call me after a month??!! She said something like "oh, work has been slow" and I said not slow, NO WORK (yelling at this point) and Imedx should be ashamed of themselves and I hope one day she finds herself in the same boat.

I am starting a new job this week, so I had the luxury of telling them to go *expletive deleted* themselves in so many words, and boy did it feel good!! My only regret is that I didn't get to scream at someone else higer up on the food chain.

They don't realize there is no work or next to no work ON EVERY ACCOUNT that is left? How can that be? We even have ops managers sending us emails referring to it.

If you had been a more timid MT, they could have turned that around to make it seem to be your fault. That is wrong. They should have called to reassure you, that they realize that the lack of work time is beyond the MT's control if there is no work available.

Just as an aside and out of curiosity, did you fall into the "minimum wage eligibility" category on your last clock-in submission on Exponent?

on the account that I had left. This was weeks of checking in and out for work days, evenings, many times. I did not sign up for overnight work, so I am not sure if there was work available then.

Was it someone actually from imedx or prior TT? - Just curious

Not sure names are supposed to be given, but FM is a manager from TT. She sent an email about the low volume. I was asking the other poster if that's who she works for.

I promptly replied back that there was no work. My particular supervisor KNOWS there is no work... she just likes to throw around her weight and pretend she’s doing her job by sending out mindless and redundant emails.

What I should have said was that I start a new job next week and she can kiss my azz, but I have this little hangup about burning bridges. And before anyone jumps my butt about not giving a notice... they didn’t give ME a notice about any of this... not about the buyout, not about the lack of work, not about losing my accounts. As far as I’m concerned, my leaving will just provide my fellow MTs (some of them personal friends) with more work while they too look for another job/career.

Kudos to you. Sometimes, we can only take so much.

TTS Hiring for Oncology - Sharon

I posted about this recently. Apparently TTS just got the MDA account. So for those affected by the layoffs who are oncology trained, there is somewhere to go. They pay .01 cent less than TT/IMEDX but only if you are employee. You can choose to be an IC and made the same as TT paid. TTS also pays headers. I hope this helps some oncology MT/editors.

that TTS has is going to eventually transition to EPIC, which is done in-house. Don't mislead people into thinking they can just slide over to TTS and everything is back to normal.

You accuse me of "misleading" people? I have simply stated facts - the only facts I know to help others who are now unemployed find immediate work. So don't accuse me of "misleading".

If you have more information about MDAs transfer to EPIC, then please share what you know instead of attacking someone trying to help!

Read up on the news... every hospital, clinic, etc., will be required to transition to typing or inputting a patient's info directly into their chart. It's the law and those who don't comply will be fined heavily.

Again, EVERYONE is being forced into the new EHR laws.

We are told that it was a switch to EPIC, but another MTSO states they got the account. We were also told that MDA said there was no problem with the work, that they were very happy with the TT MT/Editors. The truth? Who knows.

I agree. If MDA was transitioning to EPIC, why wouldn't they just transition from TT/Imedx? It doesn't make sense for them to send their work to another company if that were going to happen. We were given that excuse so that they could save face. I guess they didn't anticipate that we would find out about them going to another company because they believe that we have no way to talk to one another. It's all about keeping us in the dark, and we still would not know anything if the powers that be weren't being bombarded with emails about the dwindling of the account.

Is maybe the client is transitioning groups to EPIC, so not doing the whole thing at once. That could speak well for TT as they may able to transition sooner than other MTSOs due to their accuracy. Just a thought. I moved to the MTSO who reportedly got the account but predict it will just be a matter of time before the group they have transitions to EPIC. I guess the last of use to contiue working will handle the horrid dictators who can't go without editing.

The question is why did the client move to a different MTSO.

An account manager sent out an email suggesting that we monitor our emails on our weekend days off, and then log on to help if requested. Am I the only one who expects to not check emails or work during my one weekend day off? Even though I have a required schedule, should I expect to work 7 days a week in this industry, including on my days off? Does anyone have experience with being on call, whether you have to be paid for on-call time? My husband works a job in maintenance and they just recently cut their hours back to 32 hours per week, having them off on Fridays. They told them that if an "emergency" occured on their off day that they would be called in. So, we're scheduled for an upcoming conference call and have to be clocked off but will get paid forour time. So . . . do we get paid that ridiculously low PTO time that obviously is getting lowered for practically all of us every 6 months?
