OK Kids. How many of you honestly read the Nuance News Flash that our TLs send out?

Be honest now; how many of you like reading about how this technology is killing the transcription industry?

As for me, my BP goes up about 100 points whenever I get one!

Agree. I NEVER read them anymore. Just like I dont check FIESA. My blood pressure can't take any more. I don't participate in their games, roundtables, or other what i consider BS.

Just pay me a fair wage for the work I do. Is that too much to ask?

Oh I don't know... I love reading how much money they are raking in. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

It is amazing how may ways they have to say they are "adjusting" pay and they genuinely seem to think that we don't know we are getting paid less because they call it something else. What a pile of manure.

I scan them, read what sounds interesting. It's a happening - world, and Nuance has a piece of it. NM

that it makes it feel so much better knowing that on Monday I went to get a debt management plan (as I officially make at least 50% less than 3 years ago), that I don't even qualify for that. Bankruptcy proceedings here we come!! I feel SO SO SO proud

I was working and just received an e-mail that there was a company update posted to the community page. So far, after listening to half the voice went out and so I have not been able to listen to the second half yet, BUT they said they had solid business commitments coming up and would be hiring I believe they said 128 transcriptionists! I really appreciate all the replies, good and bad. I guess the good new is we the displaced have time on our sides in that we have 58 days to make a decision about our future employment, I believe the union did get us that. I'm definitely going to look at other companies, possibly independent contractor positions. There are some leaving who have kids/families they are supporting, I am 59, only support myself so I have that at least. Appreciate MTStars board. ...

We got the news yesterday, offered jobs at Nuance doing our same doctors. I understand we have to clock in, and will now have to pay for insurance, internet not reimbursed, less pay, very large company. We work on Escription with small amount of straight typing. They say will transfer our seniority, etc. I have read on this board in the past that thngs may start out well but don't neccesarrily stay that way, things go downhill. Does anyone have a .spf file that they could "loan me" until I either find my flash drive or I build my own up (could take years like my original one did!)? I had a backup but that hard drive crashed, and boy was I grateful for the flash drive backup, but what with one thing and another, I didn't back it up on my new computer and of course now I'm kicking myself. I opened a ticket yesterday for ASR, asking them to have H and H expand out to hemoglobin and hematocrit for my account, and less than 24 hours I got a message saying it was done! Unbelievable.
