The company I work for is switching to Bayscribe. I have heard people say it is easier to get more LPHs with this platform, and I really need the help with my line count.

Can anyone tell me what makes it easier to get more lines with it? I am so hoping it makes a difference for me.

I have used all kinds of platforms in my time (and even the original IBM Selectric!) but I preferred Bayscribe over all of them. The reasons it is so wonderful are:
1. Ease of use. You can learn it in 15 minutes. If you can send an e-mail, you can use Bayscribe.
2. Speed of use. It is without a doubt the fastest platform I have ever used. When I think of the agony that is caused by DQS, I could kiss the feet of whoever wrote Bayscribe. I have used Bayscribe at various companies, and I always produce more with it than anything else. (Over 300 lph.)
3. Simplicity. It is an amazingly simple platform. It is elegant in its simplicity.

Who do you work for, if you don't mind saying? Whoever it is, they are smart for making this switch. I am betting you will love it as you see your productivity increase. Good luck!

I guess like most others on here, I am paranoid about saying what company I work for (I guess it's silly, but ...).

Have you used Medrite? That's what we have now, and I am not sure how that compares with others for speed of use. Sometimes making expanders takes longer than I think it should, and sending and opening reports sometimes takes too long. I'm not sure if it is a Medrite issue, connection issue, etc.

Have you used Medrite? If so, was your experience similar?

No, I never used Medrite. I have heard from others that they did not like it, but I have no first-hand experience. Setting up expanders is a snap with Bayscribe. I had over 10,000. I think it is a wonderful program. Good luck to you. You will do fine!

Yes, by far Bayscribe is the best, and that is what I've been using for a couple of years. It is totally straightford, no bells and whistles. No learning curve. I used MedRite years ago and liked it a lot. Used DocQScribe, hated that. Used several other platforms, even Escription for editing (hate, hate that).

Really, the only negative is the dictionary, but all the other pluses totally outweight that. The built-in expander is great, too!

I started with a company using BayScribe. I have a rather unusual problem. The BayScribe expander will not function in the document. I can bring it up via Control F3 and can add entries, but they will not expand. When my machine is entered remotely, that user IS able to expand, but within the same session, I still cannot expand. Those of you who are familiar with Bayscribe, did you find: The spell check dictionary is void of many common words? It also does not detect uncapped words at the beginning of sentences or spacing issues. The word expander locks up for periods of time so cannot create new expansions. It has horrible quirks that cause expansions not to work correctly (they just don't expand) , capital letters show up in the middle of sentences and do not cap where they are supposed to, and extra ...
