I'm having a REALLY hard time believing - the audits are random...

There are these 3 horrible ESLs, and I mean HORRIBLE--I cannot believe they are even allowed to dictate they are so all over place, mispronouncing every third word-- but my question is WHY, out of all the other fairly good dictators I do on a regular basis, are THESE 3 constantly being audited. If I really believed it was random, (and I just can't) I would have less of a problem with this whole Fiesa thing. But WHERE are the audits on the reports by the GREAT dictators? Can't they throw some of those in there, too ???? I had 4 reports audited today (2 were post audit so they are the only ones that count), but they were ALL by these 3 dictators---I did MANY, MANY others that I'm sure were 100% reports....OHHHHHHHHH ya, now I get it.....

Leave enough blanks so that you have to send them to QC. I know some of us transcriptionists try not to leave blanks, but it's the only way to get around them pulling the really horrible ones for post audits. This is what I do and I manage to keep it below 10% and my post audit accuracy score has been 100% for quite a while now. Blank lab values that you aren't 100% sure on if you have to... Make it to where the only option they have is to pull those 100% reports for post audits. Only way to beat them at their own game.

I was told this last week - recently I have had a certain dictator from an account that I don't do very often and had to leave an unbelievable number of blanks on them. I specifically asked whether the reports we send to IQA for poor audio or too many blanks were eliminated from post audit and I was told no - that they can very well be reports that are used for our quality score - so again, we can't win.

I've had it happen. I have even sent a report and requested to have 100% review by QC. That particular report was pulled for a post audit and the 100% review was never completed.

They can audit any report they want to.

If u send enough to QA that it puts you over - 10% lines, u get 7 cents

anyway per line - it makes no difference what your quality or lph is.

I know ... and one can try but the OP had issues with a bad dictator being audited. Someone said to just sent them to QA.. I was pointing out that would not work either depending on what the volume of the bad dictator was, and it sounded like a lot.

Getting docked by QC doesn't matter. I'd rather send the really bad ones to QC and have them nitpick my reports to death than send them straight through to the client so that they get pulled for post audit and get docked for post audit. QC score has no affect on our pay, only post audit. Let QC go to town, dock us like crazy, because QC does not affect our pay. The only time TSMs pay any attention to QC score is when you are nonDSP.. if you are DSP pay no attention to QC score.

That is exactly what happened to me and I lost my bonus because of it on 3 different occasions. QC was US-based and QA was India.

If QC filled in the blanks, then the post audit score goes to them, not the transcriptionist, because the QC was the last person to be in that report and they are responsible for it from then on. If you are getting QC reports post audited and the score shows up in your FIESA, you need to request a reversal for those reports.

Obviously the poster is saying she doesn't believe it. I don't either...I think in certain cases it is NOT random....prob on MTs whose work is difficult to get under 99% if it were random.

I posted my story. This really happened to me. I am saying they are not random. I have posted this story twice on here. I guess it's just up to the reader to believe it or not. That's what I meant.

getting post-audits by ONE person always. Never anyone else. Only extremely poor audio and even if the job only came to me for a few blanks and that's all I did in the report (you can track it in Versions), they are charging any other error to ME. WTF.

of who we usually do and who we are great at, and those never get QA'd but every time, without fail, that I get a new doctor or a doctor on my second, third, fourth account that is difficult or new to me - BAM, let the dinging begin! So I try to be extra special slow and attentive with these.

all started....sure enough about 99% of audits are ESL. Granted, I have a high ESL account, but still. It is just TOO easy to miss something VR spews out that someone who can't pronounce English well...too easy to fail an audit. No offense to the ESLs docs--I am sure they are fantastic physicians and all that--I place the blame on NUANCE and their skewed and unfair ways..

I am actually checking FIESA right now as I was placed on a new account almost 2 weeks ago but I am having a hard time taking these scores seriously as I just saw a report of mine. I have been looking around the boards for a bit and I see everyone complaining about working for peanuts (or less) for their MTSO. I currently work at home for a somewhat local hospital in my area. They sent all of their transcriptionists home about 6 years ago and their coders are home now too. I know that the other big hospital system in my area has all of their transcriptionsts at home too. This past week editing a report and the dictator was giving the diagnosis. By the way this was an ESL so lots of the voice recognition was wrong to start with, numerous corrections had to be made. I'm surprised I haven't received performance management yet. I just cannot keep my line count up high enough since going to Fluency 7.6. This is too frustrating.
