I know that I just graduated and got my diploma in December/January. However, I feel that I need more training on things like styles, such as the forms in which each different type of report needs to be typed, etc. For instance, for an H&P- I need to get more training in the FORM that that needs to be done in- and other types of reports as well. I had a job that lasted all of 3 days; I am very upset that the training I got didn't seem to be enough for me to be familiar with the report styles, etc. It wasn't cheap, cost me a small fortune (by our financial standards) and I really need to find something that will help me zero in on my weak points without it costing me an arm and leg. Does anyone know of any programs that a person can download, etc., that focus on things like this? Punctuation, spelling, style guide, etc?
Sorry if this post seems to be a bit... rambling. I'm just upset. I had such confidence in myself, and was thrilled when I got the job, but then crushed when my employer came back with some very critical points. I was using Emdat InScribe, and this one particular transcription came in without specifying what type of report it was to be done in, etc. I flubbed up, badly., after a first flub-up last night- though that one was really somewhat out of my hands- I had an H&P with a 4 hour turn around, and due to the job I do here (that enables me to live here) I lost 2 hours on it before I could even start- then when I did start, I immediately ran into a snag where I just couldn't understand lipid panels.
I'm upset, and hoping for some advice.
Thank you.
