I believe that these are old reports used for training, but I don't think they are training new MTs on the account. I believe they are training VR. Someone mentioned below that it doesn't make sense to pay someone to do old reports that have already been done, and I agree with that also. Plus, think about the fact that MDI had never, ever trained like this before, even after receiving email after email asking where all our work was going and why we had no work. Why would they take all the work away from us and let us sit for MONTHS with no work when they could have trained people on old reports all the other times??
I truly believe it is because they didn't want to pay people to train while not being productive at the same time. So why the change now? They're training the accounts on VR. They don't have to pay the VR system, and what better way to keep current on the TAT *and* train at the same time without having to lose money? Plus, what a wonderful way to train the VR system without the doctors actually having to take *their* time to do it! The clients feel no effects whatsoever during this training process and the whole changeover to VR goes smoothly and seamlessly for them.
It's not that I trust them when they say they're training. I don't trust them anymore as far as I could throw the buildings they're in. They can get away with saying they're training, but they figure they don't have to tell us the whole truth. And we all know that we're going to go to VR as soon as possible because that's just the way Transcend works. They always have. In fact, they even mentioned the MDI accounts going to VR by 2010 in their press release.
So think about this. If Transcend announces MDI accounts going to VR by 2010, why would they train new MTs at the end of 2009 when VR will cut the work load in half? Either they're sadists or have other plans. Hence, the training on old reports.
