how long does it take to hear back on holiday PTO? - waiting

Just curious if anyone has heard back from their CCM regarding holiday PTO. With the big switch of from CTL back to CCM I am afraid that all my requests will go unanswered. So what do you do when your PTO request (holiday or not ) is left sitting? Do you take the day off anyway?

I just found out last week that I have Thanksgiving off, although I requested it the first day we were able. I would definitely email both my CCM and CTL marked priority and check on the status or better yet, call.

Per guidelines, they are supposed to answer within, I think, 2-3 days and if not it can be escalated. I did do that once a few years ago and didn't hear back from the regional manager until a week later and only then asking if I had ever heard back from my CCM.

As far as just taking the day off, I wouldn't advise it but would escalate my butt off until I got a yes or no answer.

Here's what I've done. Write the e-mail requesting it, ahead of the requirement frame period. If I didn't hear back, I would leave a voice message on the phone (nobody answers directly anymore) stating my request again, then follow that up with an e-mail stating that I'm assuming that since I didn't hear back, it must be okay.

That's all you can do.

P.S. I meant to mention that in the e-mail and the phone call to add, "I'm assuming if I don't hear back, then it is okay for me to take the time off and I will be paid." You're covered that way.

See, they request a certain amount of notice, but then they don't respond in same.

If they don't say NO that means YES. - JMO-take with a grain of salt. NM

I tested with both and know I did well (lots of experience with this stuff) but have heard nothing back from Probity and got a letter of interest from Encompass, which I responded to, then NADA. I have been doing MT for almost 15 years, and the one company I have been with for the past 9 years is suddenly getting less and less work.
