How long to hear back from TTS - ?

For those of you who work for TTS, how long did it take to hear something after the initial email with a list of questions? I emailed the answers to those questions a few days ago.

Were they decent about being called directly? I don't want to spend 6 weeks messing with this. I'm available to test if that's what they need and I'd like to make sure the ball gets rolling. They seem to have a lot of positions available per their post.

I'd have to agree with the other poster. It took about 2 weeks for me to get a response about interviewing and then nothing, until I emailed them about 2 weeks after that to find out what happened. Things continued to be stagnant after the ball was rolling, until finally I just decided not to go with them. All in all, after about 6 weeks from the time of applying, I had not even started training so I'm guessing it takes a long time.

Shorthand with escription - question

Is Shorthand compatible with it? Mine won't work. It used work when I was on an that platform a couple years ago.

To the OP, I do believe they are EXTREMLY busy with hiring, orientating, and training everybody new on top of their everyday business. I wanted go to work with them so I persevered and am now hired, trained, and just started working... if only my Shorthand worked.

Tech doesn't do 3rd party software. Does anybody know what up with that?

let that go because it will not work with Escription. I started using their own in the program and love it just as much now. Send email to team and ask for some help on using that, they will help you.

Mine only works when I have my shortcuts on flash drive - and use flashdrive while working. nm/bubba

When the Shorthand comes out, go under file, on drop down box I choose SH10, and that seemed to work for me. I had all my shortcuts from my previous job saved on the flash drive. I hope this helps.

I had shorthand on the flash drive and the suggestion box would come up like it was supposed to but the shortcut wouldn't expand, so now I used my installed version of shorthand on the hard drive using the options below and now it works fine.

Choose Preferences from Shorthand's File menu.

Set the Pause setting to: "Pause 20 msec after every 1 keystrokes"

Make sure the "VERIFY TARGET WINDOW RECEIVES KEYSTROKES" box is CHECKED.

Select (check) the "Simulate Clipboard Paste if Text Only" box.

Click OK to save your changes.

I tested with both and know I did well (lots of experience with this stuff) but have heard nothing back from Probity and got a letter of interest from Encompass, which I responded to, then NADA. Has anyone actually been able to move forward recently with getting a job at either place?! I have been doing MT for almost 15 years, and the one company I have been with for the past 9 years is suddenly getting less and less work. I have been sending out resumes, taking the tests, etc., and I don't hear ONE THING BACK from any of them . . . . so frustrating.
