Did anyone hear back from Advantec regarding the job posting posted last week?

I heard from them, last night about 2100 Eastern time. She told me she would call this morning at 0900. I missed the call which finally came at 1030. She called again in the afternoon and seemed like it was nothing that she called late. Something about she had to install a program in her computer.

Hey, I understand that stuff happens, but I also have a degree in management, and unless you're in the hospital or it's your children, at least send a quick email.

I told her no thanks. Not hearing from them for awhile and then not calling when she said she would, well, those aren't good signs. Plus, I read some pretty negative comments on the board.

I did a search in the archives and couldn't find any info on them. Could you tell me where you read the negative postings, please? I am strongly thinking of accepting an offer from them, but I hate to do that if I can't find current info on them. Thank you.

I just went to "search" here on the company forum and typed in their name. What I kept reading from 2006 until 2010 is that they required the MT to buy their software. This could very well not be the case in 2011, but that was just a year ago.

I tested with both and know I did well (lots of experience with this stuff) but have heard nothing back from Probity and got a letter of interest from Encompass, which I responded to, then NADA. Has anyone actually been able to move forward recently with getting a job at either place?! I noticed the only real problem I've seen regarding Encompass in the archives is their inability to get back to people in a timely way and I am seeing that in action. Anybody? ...

I applied for a hospital job (non-MT) about 2 weeks ago and have heard nothing yet. I am just wondering how long I should wait to hear back. This is not the only job I applied to, sending out resumes, but this is the one I wanted. The job is still posted on their website, so presumably not filled yet. I have been doing MT for almost 15 years, and the one company I have been with for the past 9 years is suddenly getting less and less work. I have been sending out resumes, taking the tests, etc., and I don't hear ONE THING BACK from any of them . . . . so frustrating. Does anyone currently work for, worked for in the past, have interviewed with or have any information on Advantec MT, Inc. in Florida? I could find nothing in the Archieves, so would appreciate any information anyone might have as I have interviewed with them and need some feedback. They also require that you buy the software needed to transcribe their dictation, which is pretty pricey with no reimbursement from them. Anyone know what is going on with this company? Plenty of work upon hire and now...not enough work to even make a $1 an hour...of course, that could be because their cpl rates are 6 cpl while training, 7 after you get off QA (if you ever do) and 2 cpl for qualified text. I was hired because they had a "ton of work." TAT was being met yet they hired more people recently. I just don't get it. Why do companies do this? ...
