all stats way up...benefit rate way down. Going to have to do some digging and calling to see how they justified this current pay cut. But on the bright side, it makes me more determined than ever to get out of this mess.

Exactly. If you are working while punched in with - minimal distractions then

then you will have a higher benefit rate. I know how to make my stats higher by putting a book on the foot pedal and letting it go when I get up to go to bathroom and setting it to a lower speed etc. (there are ways).

But at the same time, you have to have high production and average a decent amount consistently on a daily basis to make benefit rate go up.
I tried that, but this company gets you - when not using the keyboard.

You have to actually get a ball and chain and tie yourself to the desk. Also a toilet right next to your chair, a refrigerator and microwave too. :)

But you should be putting in a good effort working the hours you agreed to. TMC will not begrudge you time for breaks as long as you dont want to be logged off for hours. If you would rather do laundry, or whatever else, during the time you are scheduled to work, then your PTO rate should be low. Even tho we work from home, this is a regular job and an employee should be able to expect you to work during that time. Employer has no right to expect you to work more than your scheduled hours.

What's the point of obsessing that much over it & spending that much time worrying about it when it only affects a few PTO days a year... Hardly seems worth it.

MModal mentioned but my benefit rate dropped very low. I was shocked when I saw my new minimum wage benefit rate. My first thought was to get out of here too. My day is ruined once again by MModal.

You are practically paying the company to work for them! I would call HR and ask what the heck are they talking about!!!!! Yet, the bigwigs all get raises and make 1.5 million a year, not including bonuses. There are like 16 of them on the board and Miss Princess Amy makes more than 350,000 a year!

Bottom line, benefit rate is based on LPH. if you want - to increase you benefit rate SM

you better figure out what you need to do to increase your LPH. Simple as that. You can have all the excuses why you cant do that, but until you figure something out that works for you, you PTO rate will be low.

you can take the time. Why should I tell you all I did to get to this point? YOU figure out what works for you. This is part of the problem, some wanting others to do the hard work, to hand them a paycheck they did very little to earn.

Yes there are ways to tweak and most of them will get you fired if caught. Working the shift differential or taking advantage of OT will help boost your rate legally.

I thought I was prepared for the benefit rate letter.   As far as I could tell, my pay had been at least the same and once in a while actually a few dollars higher.  So, how can my benefit rate go DOWN $1 PER HOUR???????????  I was prepared that it would not be higher, but I think this is just plain wrong.  Like the other poster said - wouldn't I have noticed if I was making $80-88 per paycheck LESS (80-88 hours full time average at minus $1 per hour)??  What a bunch of hooey.  ...

Are you kidding me?  Now I am down to $10 an hour for my benefit rate.  I pulled out all my old rates and it shows a steady decline.  Seriously, it CAN'T be all me.  I have dropped from $17.25 to $16.16 to 14.39 to 13.58 to 12.56 to 10.60 to now 10.00.  Is everyone else going through the same?  I type the same as I always have for years and years and years, the only change is this ASR which apparently is the death of me. ...

Has anyone received a letter about calculating your new benefit rate? I have had the same rate since probably last spring. I don't think they are calculating them every six months even though they say they do. I went on vacay in June and I am making the same benefit rate now that I was then. That was 8 months ago.  I know for a fact that my benefit rate is now higher than it was then,maybe that is why. It is cheaper for them to keep it lower. ...
