"MedQuist is migrating all of our DEP direct dictate customers to our new state of the art DocQvoice dictation capture system. DocQvoice is providing the latest in technology capabilities that support additional redundancy for our primary and secondary telephony carriers along with database replication and application failover between our primary and secondary data centers. This will ensure 100% direct dictation capacity capabilities if the production environment should become unavailable due to telephony, datacenter, or other infrastructure-related interruption in service."

And I get the feeling we're supposed to be happy about it!

I just read that post and have to admit, I have no idea what it means! Additional redundancy, database replication, yadda, yadda, yadda.

I doubt if the shareholders understand it, either. - Which is just how the Q likes it, Im sure.

Which I already pretty much have and hate with a passion, but sucks for the rest of you that have held onto some straight transcribing.

Haha.. and what could possibly be more redundant - than corporate management? Way too many!

If the MTSOs really wanna cut costs and run a leaner, more profitable company, they should axe about half their "redundant" management.

something like "correction to previous" email regarding line rate increase. At first I thought, okay, that virtually nil line raise WAS a mistake and now they will be giving us a more reasonable raise. Nope, it was the same exact amount.
