I have a few suggestions for MModal. Instead of worrying about how long the employee's fingers are off the keyboard, why don't you fix things with the system that have been wrong for months? No, much more enjoyable for you to send out your little stats! Oh and thanks for giving me that new account with the doctors that like to split their reports and give you no information, nor their name and they enter generic dictator! Thanks for fixing that in a timely manner too! Thanks to the trainer who can't seem to give you a straight answer or tells you what page to look it up on in the manual! I have never been treated as crappy as this company does its employees! Yep, made it sound like it was gonna be all roses, 10 cents a line and 10.00 an hour to train, but what they don't tell you is shortly it will be ASR at a whopping 4 cents a line and they will ride you constantly! I can't tell you how many times I have burst into tears over their emails and what I did wrong this time. I was told before I ever started with MModal, to run, guess that person was not kidding!

Don't tell us, those who know the Q is a ****** place to work, tell the guy up on the throne. However, I have done it a thousand times and it has done no good but you never know,one day, you just might get a response or perhaps change things. Sorry but I am a believer in speaking out and to the right person!

They are not going to change. There will always be someone desperate for a job. They could care less about what we want or need because if they did instead of trying to fix us, they would fix their system or let the physicians know when we have a problem with them, such as the fact that they just plain will not speak into the phone!

I seem to remember a couple of years ago they said we were also the customers. Well that never was not true. The clients are the customers and when one doctor says he wants it this way and he is the only one in the group, we do it his way and what about us. Is the customer always right? NO. If they were, next time I go to Wal-Mart and there is no price on a big 50 inch TV I will say it is $100.00 and I am the customer and I am right. As an MT we are not the customer, we are the worker bees and we have no say.

When I worked for Medquist, I could have posted the exact same thing you did to the last period. For two months, it was wonderful and then so horrible, I couldn't believe it. I looked for another job and QUIT and never looked back. Don't waste an ounce of energy on this place; they are horrible, mean, unfair, the devil himself. How anyone can work for them is beyond me. I cannot believe they have anything decent, despite what anyone posts. I know an MME who has been with them forever and just "cannot change jobs" and she makes 3 cpl for editing and most of it is 100%, so you do the math and yet she stays and complains. Get out, get out, get out and trust me, you will never have these problems again. If, at least, you made a decent wage, it might be worth it and the that is a big maybe, but you don't and nothing will ever, ever get better.

I agree, nothing will ever get better with MM. - You will just get laid off.

emails from the TSM that sound like the fall of Saigon... dozens turning in Remedy no work tickets, people's schedules being shuffled around, people being transferred off the BoB, threats with severe punishment for unauthorized making up time, etc. It sounds like utter desperation and chaos. I would really be surprised if MM as we know it (meaning anything done in US)by the end of the year.

Then Mmodal can avoid paying in the 401K match - ulterior motive

Mmodal stopped paying the 401K match every paycheck because they were cheap (kind of like the 1% match) and decided to pay it in a lump sum on Dec 31st. The more employees they get rid of before then the less money they have to match.

I used to FOR YEARS and years, just hit shift H and typed in cur and it spelled </CURRENT MEDICATIONS/> Now with this 6.1 upgrade, it spells out </CURRENT ALLERGIES/> and I am messing up big time with reports. I can't make money with VR and I know there has to be a way for me to work faster or something. I type so much faster than I do editing. I am looking for suggestions for a keyboard. I have the Logitech Illuminated wired keyboard presently with a plastic cover, which I really like, but the cover is pushing over the f, g and h keys. Is there a keyboard out there that can withstand our hours of typing? Although I know there are still some MTs at LM very happy with their work flow, there are MANY, MANY of us who are not. Instead of wasting time advertising on the job board, reviewing resumes, etc., why not give some of us MTs those accounts? Why not at least OFFER your current MTs more work, before hiring more? I'll start off with some office supply suggestions. Code books have really thin pages, and really teeny writing, so you will want to highlight a FEW choice items. This has to be done *modestly* without ruining them. Regular highlighters will bleed through. Too much highlighting and note-writing will ruin them.
