Hello. I was just wondering if anyone has experience with the above mentioned book? I was planning on getting the work book as well. I also wanted to know what other books I would need. I was going to get the 2013 addition for all books needed. I don't have the money to take a full course right now, but I would like to "get my feet wet" and see if this is the right field for me. Thanks. ...
Looking at the jobs posted, and I have seen 3 positions in the last week paying 0.06 per line. SIX CENTS! And they are transcribing giigs too.
What's next -- 0.05? Then 0.04? Then 0.03? Then 0.02? Then 0.01?
This trend is frightening! ...
hmmmm, let me see now..... Is this the same company that consistently was OOW for months a while back that couldn't give a *blank* about my paycheck and my ability to feed my family and pay my bills? Is it the same company that took away my paid holidays, reduced my pay twice, requires I work on holidays, does not approve requested PTO, yada yada yada? Ya, I'll get right on that volunteering my extra weekend hours for you sweetheart. As soon as you give me back th ...
Just typed a "married lady, lives at home with her husband" (spoken clearly) and ASR turned it into "lesbian, living with her girlfriend." A few days ago, ASR randomly threw in "French porn" out of nowhere. ...
Not sure where to post this so used the main board. Wonder if any transcription is going to be affected by this.

Other times, it's "She is married with a male and a female CHILDREN."
This occurs often enough that I'm totally confused on the proper term. ...

I had to TYPE them, OMG! I type for a pediatric clinic and these name spellings are outrageous! The way my platform works, I type in the patient's name the way it sounds and after the dictation is done a search list comes up and I am ALWAYS having to go back and change the spelling I gave. I used to think it was all cute to spell a child's name different, but now if another, I may name her "Mary" LOL. I just typed on a kid named Jacob, but of course it was spell ...

So I took the first step to get out of MT and called our local community college to set up an appointment for career counseling. I am thinking of taking some computer courses along with some accounting to broaden my office skills. We have a temp agency here in town who specializes in medical office placement so who knows, maybe I can get started there with temporary jobs. I think it would be fun to be at a front desk and interact with people again. I've even considered buying a Spanish prog ...
Hi,
I haven't enrolled yet, but I've pretty much decided on Career Step (mostly because of price!). I was wondering if anyone has any input as to whether it's better to take the MT course or the MTE course. Do you need the extra editing experience? I'm sure any extra is helpful, but is it necessary to have the editing training to get an MT job with an online company? Thanks in advance for any info!
