So I finally decided to submit a remedy ticket about the months coming through not capitalized (have you all noticed this?). I explained that when a complete date is dictated it seems to do fine, but if the month is just used in a sentence, such as "in September" they are not capatlized. When is a month not supposed to be capitalized? These used to be correct but for many months now they haven not been.
So I get a call from "Phil" who wants me to explain the problem. He doesn't quite get it, so he wants me to connect so he can see my system and see the problem. Okay, seriously, what are the chances of me having a report at the moment with this exact problem, which is what I told him. I also explained that I am not getting paid for this time, and the problem is pretty self-explanatory. Now he wants me to go on hold while he talks to someone. I told him, not too nicely, that I am not getting paid to be on hold, that I am in the middle of working, and if he understood English he would understand. I reiterated that there is never a case where a month would not be capitalized (except of course if someone uses the word may, which may or may not be the month May) and to just fix the problem please, and promptly hung up.
I hope I don't get fired someday for talking to tech like they are idiots, and hanging up on them in frustration. It seems to happen most times that I have to talk to them.
