I am out of work already! Grrrrrrrrrrrr! It is going to be another Looooooooong day as always :(
what are you doing about it? - unemployment? Callling CCM?

[ In Reply To ..]They want 100% TAT, that is all they care about. So make a group of 50 or so MTs that are stritcly "elite bouncers" and pay them accordingly to jump from account to account. Then, staff the accounts properly so the employees have work. If the client uploads a bunch of late work, call the Elite Bouncers! When it is getting caught up, move the Elite bouncers. This crap of running the accounts bone dry is horrible! I feel that if I run out of work for half my day, then take away half of the salary of the CCM. Then the accounts would be staffed right!
How about we BOOST the CCMs?

That IS why all of us, slowly but surely, whether you are in the NJA boat or not, soon will be. Unless some kind of law comes out that prevents our work from going off-shore or a law that prevents MEDICAL INFO from going off-shore, this will continue. The MTSOs are GREEDY SOBs---they can pay them less than half of what they pay here (because the indians can afford to accept that, and I don't blame THEM I blame the greedy suits over HERE)---. Sad but true. I'm just waiting for my turn, riding it out as long as I can.

I have not had work for 2 weeks and they say, there is nothing we can do. The whole Emory total book of business is empty all the sudden after 9 years of overtime and go-go-go. YEAH! I'm stupid enough to believe the doctor's just stopped talking last week. I don't know if it is India or where it is going, but US jobs are disappearing at a rapid pace. I feel sorry for the people in India. They will be whipped until every key stroke counts, for a cost of 1 dollar a day or some outrageous amount. Plus we are told by CCMs that we need to use OUR PTO because there is no work. There has to be a law against that, or is that okay in the slave south?
You absolutely DO NOT have to use PTO - for NJA
[ In Reply To ..]They just want you to use it up so that you have no time off later. If you have no work, you can take PTO if you need the paycheck, or make it up, or take it without pay. If you take it without pay, you can (and should) file for unemployment for the times that there was no work available during your shift. You will get partial unemployment and if this low work volume continues, at least you will be able to pay your bills.

Please DO NOT let your CCM bully you into using your PTO if you do not want to. It is YOUR CHOICE. It is right there on the Remedy NJA page to choose which option you are going to take. CCMs who make MTs think they have to take PTO should be fired immediately!

[ In Reply To ..]It was all very simple. The CCM called to ask why I filed and I said that I did not have enough work and that I tried to make up my hours, but there was not enough work. Never heard from her again about it. When I was back to making my hours, I stopped filing claims.

The only thing is I am already on about 12-15 accounts, not sure how to keep up with more acct specs. I still run out every day!!

I'm on Food Stamps and have a "standing" payment arrangement with my apartment manager because I have trouble paying the rent on our small apartment every month and staying on top of the rest of my bills. I barely get by - some months I wonder how I'm going to do it.
When there isn't any work (frequently) I use my PTO because I can't afford to miss out on the income - I would literally go under. I haven't had PTO in my account for over a year now because I use it, every single pay period to supplement my check.

*I KNOW* cognitively it would help me but it's a huge trade-off for me because this job is the one and only thing keeping myself and my son from being homeless. If the little work availability I have suddenly drops off or changes because I'm creating a "problem" for my CCM I won't be able to hold on. Does that make sense? I know that a company can't legally fire you for filing unemployment, but they can make things (even more) miserable.

I believe a few people couldnt hold out and left for more work somewhere, and then worked picked back up. Now, its super low again, but of course, they just hired on a bunch of people. [ In Reply To ..]When you go into Remedy to send a NJA report, there are 3 choices, PTO, make-up time or Time off without pay--Your CCM cannot make you use PTO, if she does, then report her to her bosses. Now...if you are sick or unable to work for any other reason, you do have to use PTO or make up the time. Hope this helps.
