Worried...RE: TTS - needsthisjob

Posted: May 14, 2011

So, maybe I have set myself up to be worried.  I have read so much bad stuff about TTS.  I just started a job there and haven't had any trouble thus far, so I can't vouche for the complaints I have read.  Are there any other current TTS employees out there that enjoy working there?  I have never ran out of work.  I can't speak for getting paid on time yet because my first payday isn't until this weekend.

So far, all I can say is good things. They were quick to get me started and trained.  The QA staff has been wonderfully helpful and nice when I ask questions.

I guess no one can know for sure until they experience things first hand, but I wonder if a lot of this information is just ex-employees who are angry or digruntled (I mean no offense to anyone, I am just trying to be confident in my job).

I need this job badly to help pay bills at our house, we have 2 little mouths to feed and clothe.  I, unfortunately, can't be petty and quit.  So come what may, I will work there.  But like I said, so far nothing bad.

Anyone out there have any other input?  I don't mind negative input, but I guess I would rather it be facts rather than just complaining.

TIA!

I don't work for TTS, but just realize that everything you read is not correct. Some people would not be satisfied with any company and would just complain. If you like it there and are happy, just enjoy and be thankful. Good luck to you.

Happy at TTS? Enjoy it while it lasts. - Wacky management

They will turn on you in a minute. MTs are not valued by the management. Why do you think there are disgruntled ex-MTs? No work, nit-picking, over-reaching managers with double dipping taking MT work by managers. When I call the management wacky I am being polite. They have problems that run deeper than just wacky. Smart MTs do not last at TTS. Management does not like anyone to challenge them because the management isn't that smart.

TTS wacky management - Too funny

I know what you mean by "wacky" managers and probably who you are talking about. Too bad. Love the platform and my account when there is work, but a very badly run company from the top down to the middle managers and QA staff.

happy? - NOT

Was there not quite a year - my pay check was going up for the first few months and I thought at least I could make it - then the platform started getting worse, and not as easy to get a good line count because of having to correct every line - then the evaluation scores mysteriously went from 99+% to below 98% and then of course you are gone. My last pay check for 2 weeks was $625 after taxes. If you can live on that, go for it. Just make sure you double and triple check every report and the procedures you need to do (cosigners, right account number, cc names). I have seen where the posts have said, most MT's don't last past 3 months, I was there almost a year and that was about 6 months toooo long. So 3 months on average to stay there would be good estimation.

Worried
Jan 26, 2015

It seems like more transcription is being offered for in-house rather than IC at home jobs. Tonight I went online and put 'work at home medical transcription jobs' and after going through all the transcription school ads, I only found 2 companies hiring for at home work, the others were all in an office or hospital setting.  It seems as though the demand for going in-house is getting greater every day.  Because of my blind Schnauzer, I need to be at home for those times when ...

Any Acusis MTs Worried?
Jun 21, 2010

Has any Acusis employee felt some desperation with Acusis lately?  I know that some accounts are really being monitored by the hospitals and they are not happy right now, but some of the things we are having to do are starting to slow down production. It makes me a little concerned for job security. ...

Veteran MT - Worried
May 13, 2011

I have recently returned to the national arena after having a HORRIBLE experience with an in-house transcriptionist position.  I have tested with several companies who used to have a good reputation on this board.  I have been offered 3 positions and I am at a loss as to what to do because it seems that there is not ONE of these companies that has a good reputation anymore. Actually, there is not ONE company on this board that has a good reputation PERIOD.  I understand ever ...

If Everyone Is So Worried About Endangering Patient Care....
Sep 23, 2010

or a patient dying because of mistakes made in dictation/transcription, then why in the world is it acceptable for any dictator, be it MD, PA, NP, etc. to get on the phone to dictate half asleep, eating, or even probably drunk and get so confused themselves that there is no way you can understand what they are trying to say.  When this happens REPEATEDLY, this person is called a "difficult dictator."  However, if you make a mistake on their transcript or send it to QA, you are the ...

Very Worried About Gulf Coast Transcription
