MM posters, please read - Moderator

Although this new coding program is through MModal, and although you are still MTs/MEs for MModal, all coding discussions are to be done on the coding board. Thank you.
When individuals are interested in becoming an MT, asking about where to get their training, etc., answer their question(s).
SEE THE NOTE AT THE TOP OF THIS BOARD.
Do not try to discourage them from the profession. They have as much right to pursue it as anyone else.
The purpose of the New MTs board is to help and support and assist those who are wanting to go into the MT field, those who are currently studying or just completed studies. These individuals can read and determ ...
This specific board is for support of new MTs. Experienced MTs - If you want to slam, be ugly, hateful, etc., to new MTs, go somewhere else. New MTs - same goes for you.
In other words, stop the experienced-vs-new MT wars.

First, no one on this board has any clue who the identity of other posters are. Not one of you. You cannot assume that any 2 or more posts are by the same poster, even if the same moniker is used.
Second, no one on this board has the right to call anyone else a liar because you don't believe the information they posted. Doing so will get you banned.

I just wanted to say to those who judge others so harshly to remember what we are admonished about "Judge not, lest ye be judged." Some MTs are having more trouible than others. Lucky are those that are not. Some MTs may be better at some reports than others, but we should not belittle those who are not "up to our standards." I know that there are many MTs who are much better at this job than I am, but I would hope that there is still room for me, as after almost 11 years ...
I had a terrible experience and thankfully moved on. Believe everything you hear about this company and make your own informed decision. All you have to do is believe that most people who work there are DISSATISFIED. Yes, it's true. I can't tell you what to do, but if I could I would tell you to seek employment elsehwere. I only wish I had been forewarned 3 years ago. I think all of you contemplating employment with Nuance should consider yourselve ...
After all, MModal has a Facebook page. We need to start an anti-MModal Facebook Page. We could write stories of what is happening to us with this company and how we are treated and send in pictures of us working ourselves to death, etc. Even spouses could get involve and family members how we are to work during holidays, but then there is no work, yet we are to get our hours in.
We write on MTstars, why not have one for Facebook????? ...
I may be out of the loop. I know that the big Canadian A (eh?) gobbled up a lot of USA companies, then gobbled up MM, then the big A got gobbled up by the N. And now I thought we are all the N. Is there another big company ? ...
Enough of this bickering. Stop it.
Each one of you have to simply accept that there are others out there who have NOT had YOUR particular experience with the company in question (i.e., whichever company is being discussed).
Having a positive experience with a company or simply not agreeing with you does not make the other poster a "suit" or "management" so stop with that labeling. As well, stop with the accusations that those with negative posts are "whiners" or "babies" or " ...
They want me to come in tomorrow at 2:30 for an appointment. Nervous!! I feel like if they wre going to turn me down it would have been through the mail and not wasting thier time and mine with an appointment. Hopefully this is something definitive and not just needing more paperwork filled out. This is my last semester in community college and if this doesn't work out I don't know how I will pay for University. Wish me luck!! ...
Please see the sticky note at the top of the MedQuist forum. I have researched information for you to give you some direction. There are contact instructions/leads on the web pages at the links given.
Please do not contact MTStars for more information. Contact your local employment office (now called the Department of Workforce Services) for more information.

Moderator, please delete everything on your site that refers to Imedx, even this post of mine, it is only the right thing to do. I prefer to be angry and have no where to vent.
Last week we were told by Op Mgr that "she has a call into the client about why volume is so low."
Yesterday, we got a "yippee" from "her" about having a coupla hundred jobs ready.
This morning, we got an email saying, "we need to make sure you have backup accounts now."
I wont address the timesheet issue, I am still ...
Please contact me about your unpaid work with DIT.
I want to make sure they resolve their pay issues if they are going to advertise jobs here.

Found this in the Letters to Editor in AdvanceWeb.com. :
I feel compelled to voice my thoughts on the topic of credentialed MTs; the reason being I work with a fantastic group of MTs under my management.
We work at a community hospital in a centralized setting; all departments dictate their patient records and we transcribe them. They are highly skilled, productive and accurate and simply the best staff to manage.
Here are my thoughts.

Good Morning MQ-ville.
I was reading a posting below, started yesterday "Whadayaknow" and there were a couple of responses to the posting that I think are worth you reading.
We should all be much more PROACTIVE in the auditing process and ask questions or if we disagree, tell them we do! We should also not take BS sitting down! I agree that too many of us have just accepted being fed crap because we've begun to feel "beaten down".
I also am 'MAD AS HELL AND NOT GOING TO ...

in the MT Stars archives a post entitled "MT's and Unions, and past mistakes:". This was posted on 11/23/10.
I am contacting various union representatives, among other things. The most important thing is to get the word out as much as we can about the unfair policies on MT's by various companies. I know it can seem futile, but I think if enough of us communicate long enough, someone has to listen. Thanks. ...
The older I get, the less able I am to tolerate these mush-mouthed, lip smacking, gum chewing, burping, toilet flushing dictators. And those are the good ones that I've had lately which should give you any idea of how the rest of them are. I so wish I could quit this lousy business altogether, but right now that's just not possible.
I will now get off the soap box and let someone else have their turn. ...
I just found out that a mail clerk, working in a mail room at a local company, earned more $$$ than I did last year! QC with 30+ years' experience! My God. Nuance is killing me! Cannot wait to say Goodbye :( ...
This particular board, the New MTs board, is devoted to assisting the newcomers to this profession. It is here as a help, an assistance, a way to advise and mentor newbies. It is NOT a place to slam, discourage, handslap or pick fights between newbies and experienced MTs.
We are not going to have an ongoing war or scuffles between the experienced MTs and the newbies or vice versa in regard to who should or should not be in this industry, who does a better job, who knows more, ...
The HITECH Act: Will You Be Fine, or Fined?
FRANKLY, OUR GOVERNMENT SUCKS BIG TIME! I AM STILL USING A WORK COMPUTER, IS THAT GOOD OR NOT???
Under the new Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH Act) that takes effect this upcoming February, you as a transcriptionist could now be directly liable for any private health information (PHI) that is stolen or somehow reaches the public domain. That could include any transcriptions you produce that are emailed ...

Transcription Technology Wars — Navigating the ASP/ASR/ARRA BattlefieldBy Dale Kivi, MBAFor The RecordVol. 21 No. 22 P. 10
Choose an ill-fitting business model and healthcare providers may become economic casualties, according to an industry insider.
Why have new equipment sales by previously dominant transcription technology leaders such as Dictaphone and Lanier all but faded off the face of the planet in favor of thin-client application service provider (ASP) and aut ...
Just spoke to someone I know in TAA/Unemployement office. FIRST TIME RIGHT is a gray area. We can fight this because it is a gray area.
It is not right that if a doctor dictates and we cannot understand what they are saying for sure and we can get docked in pay, literally take money from us. IT IS NOT LEGAL.
That is probably why the big bosses are on this board to see what they can get away with. We have every right to fight them. It is just wrong!

Let me introduce myself. I am a full time MT with 25 years experience in this business, averaging typing 2000 lines per day, audit scores 98% and above, who willingly works OT when requested, and I have never taken a sick day. I consider my job a serious employment commitment. I am the bread-winner in my family. I don't say this to indicate I make the most money. This means I PAY THE BILLS. You know, mortgage, car payments, insurance, light bill, food on the ta ...
This is my yearly ode to all of you during MT WEEK, and I want to again express my humble opinion. For just a few minutes, please put aside your depression and anger at your profession and just take a deep breath and listen to what I have to say.
I am truly awed by what you all do. What other profession would you have to be a medical terminology specialist, pharmacology specialist, English language expert, AND a computer/software expert all in one? There is no other pr ...
I just got through reading the website of CBay in its entirety to get more insight into their company. They appear to be a giant in the field, own almost everything that has to do with medical transcription or the likes thereof. I clicked on the Executive Bios section and got to read about each executive's background, etc. What I saw and read were numerous CBay individuals (all men I might add) with many years' worth of previous employment by well known companies, som ...
