Looking up doctors while in report; backspace too far

This new computer is going to drive me nuts. The backspace is so SLOW. Any way to speed this up? Tricks you might have? I asked tech support and they told me it was a problem they were aware of but nothing could be done. Unbelievable -- this is all we do (work on computers) but "backspace issue" cannot be resolved. Frustrated !!!! TIA for any suggestions. ...

I always research before I ask a question and have searched the archives for the last hour or so. I am reviewing reports via the C-phone and am in desperate need of a backspace option. For example, when I let off the foot pedal, the dictation resumes exactly where it left off. It would make my job so my easier if the voice would "go back" about 2 seconds so that I don't miss any dictation. I have read numerous on-line manuals, but the instructions are so vague. ...

that is less than 30 lines; dictator who repeats every sentence with 1 subtle change; DEAD AIR, etc. It is stressful enough that I'm losing money today but to be stressed out about line count and being perfect...I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!!! ...

Doesn't it drive you nuts when a doctor consistently cuts himself off when he dictates? I would think, being that this medical record is sooo freaking important that we are drawn and quartered if not perfect, that these professionals who generate these reports would also be schooled about proper pronunciation, enunciation, etc. before they throw it out there for us to perfect. Why is it the doctors cannot give you the information you need in the order you need it. They all know the standards and they will sure raise hell if we deviate. To the poster who posted below looking for information on TTD. They don't have their own accounts. They work for Superior Global and maybe others. Superior pays them to find ICs. They probably pay them 4 cpl and then TTD pays you a cruddy 3 cpl to edit VR reports. They don't offer direct deposit because Superior is paying them and then they pay you, which is why you have to wait a month for your check. that they are dictating for ASR and how to do it, punctuation and all. They need to take some responsibility for this. If they would dictate for ASR, ASR output would likely be better. I base this on the doctors who do dictate everything, including punctuation and the fact the output is good for this doctors. Although, these doctors do tend to speak in a more understandable manner. Ok, I'm curious, but can doctos do their dictations anywhere? A lot of times, I hear a bunch of doctors in like some sort of dictation room. You can hear other doctors doing dications. Readjust your foot pedal. - I have mine on 2 seconds-nm

Ctrl N to look up doctors while in the report - NM

tools menu then options for tabs to change settings - for pedal and such.
