I recently applied with Transcription Doctors and almost immediately recieved a "new hire packet." I spent hours filling out all of the paperwork and now recieve no response, via email or phone, from either of the contact points! Does anyone out there either work for them, or have this same issue? Thanks so much!

3-4 cents/line is pretty common.... - frustrated

That's a pretty common rate these days for VR...I've even seen as low as 2 cents/line. I worked for a company who pai 4 cents/line...then used some "equation" to figure your pay where it worked out to even a lot less. I quit needless to say. As for the archives, I did look and there was nothing in them for many years past...

I think 4 may be common, but 3 cpl is low. I have never seen 2 cpl unless they're taking advantage of newbies. You would have to AVERAGE 500 lines every hour in an 8-hour shift to make $10 an hour before taxes.

Do not waste your time with this company. If you are not aware, they cannot get their own accounts. They have affiliations with Superior Global and Chase Transcription. Not only do you have to wait 5+ weeks to get your first check don't count on the amounts being correct. Check the archives. Another previous MT has forwarded an email directly from one of the SGS clients and they are furious that SGS is outsourcing their work. It's obvious something fishy is going on with the amount of job posting they have. I have since been contacted by numerous MTs that have not been paid by TTD as well and given the excuse that their client has not paid them and she can't pay her MTs until she gets paid. That is not the way it works people. You are an IC with TTD and she should be paying you on time.

To the poster who posted below looking for information on TTD. They don't have their own accounts. They work for Superior Global and maybe others. Superior pays them to find ICs. They probably pay them 4 cpl and then TTD pays you a cruddy 3 cpl to edit VR reports. They don't offer direct deposit because Superior is paying them and then they pay you, which is why you have to wait a month for your check. I recently graduated form CS and I have been looking for a job for the past 2 weeks. TTD offered me a job without doing any testing and I thought that was odd. My recommendation is to have any MT who feels her time is valuable to Stay very far away from this company. I am going to be very careful in how I word this. Company did not pay me correctly. I started working for them over 6 weeks ago and have NOT gotten paid YET. I know there has been discussion that that happens but we're going on almost 2 months now and nothing. They have an ad on this site hiring at 8 cents and 3 cents for straight typing and editing. But, on another site, they have an ad for the same exact thing but the pay is 7 cents for straight typing and 2.5 cents for editing! Are you kidding?!?!?!?! I hope no one applies for that job, even if you are desperate! So glad I am getting out of this line of slave work. ...
