Just an FYI to everyone about the new taking time off - SeeMsg

without pay we were given (13 days). If you use this for NJA you will forfeit an entire day of the time off without pay, even if it's just 1 hour. The days off are not hourly. They are daily, so if you had 1 hour left in your shift and had NJA and took the time off without pay, 1 entire day of your time off without pay would be used. Looks like MM screwed us again.

this supposed to happen? I use hours (not days) all the time. I hope when you are short an hour or two, you are not putting 8 hours in there. Sounds like another MM way of getting people to use their time unnecessarily. Don't fall for it. Put in only the time you need.

time off without pay to use. If we use this time off for NJA, even if it's just for 1 hour, that counts against the days off as an entire day. So if you have 13 days left of your time off and you get NJA and there's 1 hour left in your shift and you choose to use your time off without pay, you will have used an entire day, not just 1 hour, of your days off without pay and be left with 12 days. That's the way this works now. Even if you use just 1 hour of time off without pay it is considered that you used 1 entire day.

not heard this, but if it is true, I guess I'll have to take 8 excused hours and if I only miss 1 hour, I guess I won't work 7 hours of my next shift or another shift that pay week.

HDS/SHDA they also changed our rewards plan. It was all in an email from MModal Communications. The only thing they omitted to tell us was how these days off without pay are being calculated.

Question - can this only be used

They are going to force you to take an entire day for a few hours of NJA? Sorry doesn't make sense. We are a production job, not a daily job.

If I only have an hour or so left, I just stay logged in and do out my time. I am not about to take a whole day for that. If I don't make my lines, so be it. The only way to survive with this company is to do what you want and be willing to pay the price. I am actively seeking another job and so I really don't care what happens and surprisingly enough, they leave me alone. The day will come when I am gone from here, it is just a matter of time, even if it is Mc'D's. Anything to get out and then look for something decent. Again, don't let them bully you with unfair practices; just like the post about Jury Duty. This company should be sued to the max and put out of business and made to pay severance for their horrendous tactics.

and by everything I look at, that is still the rule. We accumulate hours by the pay period, there is no lump sum 13 days given every January, or whatever the start of the year is for them. And was told cant carry over 40 hours into the next year. And if that is the case, they cannot deny your accumulation of time if you take LWOP fort a pay period. I do what I want as well and they never bother me either.

I downloaded their file (pedalplugin-win) but whenever I lift my foot off play, the tape rewinds to beginning. I cannot rewind or FF and autoplay to 0 isn't registering. I have 2 job offers from 2 different companies, but both of these companies are fairly large and have multiple posts with complaints that there is just not enough work for everyone. Would it be possible to take both offers, on the chance that if one doesn't have work the other will? If you get NJA on a very regular basis, reply with what state you are in. Apparently, some states require pay for downtime, CA I believe being one of them. I'm not sure of the other states. Obviously, work can be routed to or away from us at will, and I have a feeling they are choosing MTs from the states that mandate downtime pay over states that don't. ...

If you think the offer from MMoral to become a coder sounds good, think again. If you start the program and don't finish, you have to pay MM for the full cost of training, and no mention was made of how much that is. If you decide to leave MM for a coding job elsewhere, you probably won't even be considered for a job with decent pay because you didn't train through AHIMA and you will have to pay MM for your worthless training if you leave before 2 years. Okay, we know we cannot change our personal information that is public on Office365. Simply double click on the image area of any contact and presto, home address, etc. Try to change your own and be instantly denied. But do you know for months that you can go into Exponent, go to Time Reporting, then Additional Options, and click on "View Other Employee Leave" ?? Just wanted to hear from some of you more seasoned MTs out there...I am scheduled to sit for the RMT exam on Monday, 4/19 and have been preparing for this since mid-January by taking a review course via M-TEC. Several folks have advised me that rather than waiting the typical 2 years, I should consider studying to take the CMT exam immediately after passing the RMT. I have never run into NJA on a Monday morning. I had the hardest time getting the day off yesterday. (I have 3 weeks of accrued PTO which I have to take before December.)
