MQ suits just don't appreciate the true grit of the MTs they have working for them. The situation we're in is a very depressing and immoral one, but yet we still have humor.

BUT, THE FACT OF THE MATTER IS IT IT TRUE!!! What do you suppose one of the suits would do if their home and cars (notice plural - we MTs do good to have one car in a multi-member household) were taken away from them --- sadly, they're just like our politicians -- they don't even have a clue because as long as they've got their comforts of life they flippantly make decisions that destroys others and does it all with no conscience at all -- the only thing that matters is the $$$ for the moment. The United States of America was once a great nation but it is deteriorating all because of immoral business and political ethics that don't pertain to keeping the USA great. Wonder what the history books will read (don't even think of our forefathers turning over in their graves) about our great nation say in 10 years, that is if we make it that far -- think about it. We MTs along with so many other professions who have gone the same route of jobs being outsourced HAVE to think about it -- the ones who are destroying their own people as a nation only think about the next luxury they can have at the expense of those who give them that luxury with no return. SHAME ON YOU!!!

So much of the outsourcing woes could have been avoided long ago if enough Americans would educate themselves enough and involve themselves enough in the political and voting processes!
Our politicians and government allowed big overseas corporations to take over this country businesses so that hardly any businesses or industries are now owned by Americans or America! Our votes (or lack of...) did this. So SHAME ON US.

The politicians have always had their own corporate greed driving them, it is for their own gain, but why do such a teeny tiny minority rule? Do you realize that it is less than 2% of the U.S. population that has a genuine say it what goes? The other 98% (that's us...) just seems content to allow these horrible things to keep happening and then horrified when everything goes down the toilet...

We have got to get involved and get informed and make better choices or I fear in aother 10 years were gonna be the United States of some other Country that bought out all our businesses... (China perhaps?)

SM. You're right on the money with your post! Too many are voting on emotional issues and not doing the work to see where their candidates stand on job/trade issues. I believe it's already too late.

I think people are too busy in their own lives to take an interest in how our laws are made and who makes what laws. As far as education, people are more interested in buying huge houses, fancy cars, etc. than making sure their kids get a good education. When you mention things like writing politicians demanding action on certain things, people just say it won't help. If everyone would get involved, we COULD change things before it is too late, but people will just come on sites like this and complain on how things are instead of writing their politicians and demanding changes.

Every time I've written mine, I get party rhetoric as a reply, and we can't seem to get past all of that. We listen to what our supposed "news" people (both sides) tell us and believe it to be true. Meanwhile, we're very interested in who someone might marry while our trade policies are killing us, and our jobs keep disappearing. It's downright discouraging.

we allow ourselves to be raped at sporting events and such so the players can make ridiculous amounts. These are the people our children are looking up to. I totally refuse to go to some sporting event and pay those prices so big boys can make millions to play games. Our priorities are all wrong in this country.

So true, SM. Seems like the current crop of politicians are either clueless (some I believe truly are clueless) and some are just protecting their corporate buddies.

Keep shipping our jobs out, bitching about taxes, don't want a minimum wage, busting unions, and carrying on about gays... (of which I could give a hairy rat's butt about), and you have the perfect recipe for the continuation and widening of the gap between the haves and the have nots! Well.. didn't mean to get carried away there..

I'm dusting off my resume and getting ready to dive into employment again.. hopefully very soon! I'm still thinking about coming back to the Q if they'll let me.. but I'm almost afraid they WILL have me.. :)

Unable to log on because DQS needs to be updated. Then can't update on DocuManage because there's no link. They tell me they someone will call back and help me, but they have no way of knowing when. DQS is driving me crazy today. When I push the pedal, it takes a couple seconds to start playing. If I let off the pedal, it keeps going for a couple seconds and I can't get it to stop. The typing I am doing does not keep up with my finger speed either, with words not showing up until after I've typed them. I use my own computer and have never encountered this issue before. It is a major hindrance though, slowing me down. What's next? ...

Typing that last report, signing out for the last time.....it was all very surreal. I still can't believe I actually left. Sad though because I wasn't offered anything PT (not that I would had taken it), and nobody said "we'll be happy to take you back". AND....no exit interview. However, this week has been really slow so I am looking for a new full-time home and I'll stay with the old place part-time. To that end, any word on MD-IT? I just received notice that my line rate is decreasing 1 cpl. A year and a half ago it had dropped 1 cpl also... and all as an IC. This will hurt. But what to do? I will stay as it is good work, good management, I know most of the accounts.... some are buggers though.. Only 7-1/2 years until I can retire to at least part time... hope I can survive until then. No way can I put in anymore hours than I already am. I am hoping for an after-school babysitting job ...
