Having a really bad day. Waiting to hear back on a job interview. Thought I would have heard by now. Don't feel like I can take one more day here. Tried to log onto the "Ask You-Know-Who" thing. Gave me some excuse about why it didn't work.

Anybody know how to e-mail him directly? I have nothing to lose at this point.

Don't think I will reallly be losing anything in benefits. I may as well not have them now for all the good they do. Can't go to the doctor when I'm sick. Can't afford it, with insurance.

I can easily replace my pay with a fast food/dollar store job.

My self esteem is long gone.

I at least want to say what's on my mind before they show me the door.

ASR is such a joke there are just no words. We have waited how many years for it to be what we were told it was?

We have been lied to so often it just doesn't mean anything anymore.

Then we sign on to work, read our e-mail and see praise heaped on hourly workers? Those hourly workers have no clue. And whatevery they accomplished will not add 1 cent to our paycheck.

They obviously lied through their teeth to get potential clients to believe M-Modal has a great product.

I don't have Vern's email. If I did, I would have been fired long ago. Too many bad days where I might have snapped, sent him an email (likely in all caps with much swearing) and been fired for it.

I wish you luck in the job hunting and on finding that slimy weasel's email. It's tough out there, but try to look on the bright side. We get paid so little now, even minimum wage wouldn't be that much of a step down. That's why I stopped worrying about getting fired. 10 years ago I never could have gotten a job that paid this well. Now I'll just go to McDonald's and in a couple months, I'll be an assistant manager and probably have better benefits. We couldn't possibly receive less respect.

I guess I should recommend that you think things through and not jeopardize a possible recommendation from MM by angering our dear leader. It might be best to just leave and forget it all. He won't care about your opinion and if you do somehow crack through his armor of indifference, he can always go swimming in his money like Scrooge McDuck to cheer himself up.

Of course, on the other hand, when I quit MQ I might have compared QASAR to the Gestapo. So, to each their own.

I no longer care if I get fired either. I have been an MT for 28 years and used to love my job. I've been with this company for 14 years, and it was great until 5 years ago. Now I am putting in applications at grocery stores and banks just to get out. I still have 20 years to work before I can retire, and I never thought I would be doing anything but transcription until then.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm also considering another job outside of transcription altogether. The whole industry has gone downhill.

At this very moment, I have it pretty good though. My company (eTransPlus) got bought out a couple months ago by MMmmmmmodal, but we haven't fully integrated because we do V.A. accounts and the V.A. doesn't want ASR or overseas.

So I still have my favorite accounts, no QA supervision and I like my new CCM (I liked my old manager too, but they made her a CCM for a couple weeks and then I never saw her again). I even work on my old platform (no DQS).

But before I worked for eTransPlus, I worked for MQ for seven years, so I know what comes next. Piece by piece we are transitioning over. Now I know how wildlife feels about deforestation. I still have my habitat, but its getting smaller every day and I know one day I'm going to wake up in a shopping mall.

So, I'm sucking up the work while it's there and back on the boards venting about my frustration at being dragged back in.

If you send a real letter, on paper, in an envelope, - it will have a much bigger impact. sm

Especially if there are cc's, either listed or blind.

I've found whenever I write a physical letter of complaint, I always get a response.

Or, you could start out with an email, and if you don't hear back within a reasonable amount of time, follow it up with a real letter. Then you could ask why your original email was ignored.

He forwards them to some higher up and I get a call with them telling me that they understand my complaint but then tell me all the wonderful things they are doing for us. LOL I usually do tell them that is a load of crap and all they want to do is get rid of us. Anyway, whether you get a response or not it doesn't matter. It does feel good to blow off steam on them though.

I have had 6 (SIX!) reports come through, all having the same mush-mouthed, fast talking, whispering, ESL doctor. Oh, and the sing-song thing is really about to make me blow my stack. I started in this profession back in the late 70s, learning "in house, on the job," my first job working from home, was when my kids were approximately 9 and 11 and obviously, not infants. to know........ I questioned my TSM about those figures at the end of your time cards, the QA percentage? Mine kept going up and down in HUGE margins week after week. If your quality metrics expectations weren't set so humanly-impossible-to-achieve high and you weren't so nit-picky about simple, insignificant errors then maybe we wouldn't have so many accounts on the "consecutive audit failure" list. I'm wondering if I should just stop contributing at all.
