How the hell can ASR misspell words,, - I give

They are medical terminology and misspelled,,how? Who trains this, an idiot? And I spend 20 minutes of my UNPAID time,,listing a bunch of wrong things and sending it through to be fixed.,,that was a month ago and got no response and the crap is still wrong...

They say we the MTs are suppose to be training it if we are - using the proper editing technique -sm

But I have a couple different docs there they practically same the same thing verbatim and I keep changing it, but the machine still wont pick up and I am using he proper editing technique, but highlighting and typer over.

Then you have to figure, everyone else that goes behind you that might be putting in something totally different, doesn't help things either.

This was always an excuse to pay us less. First, it was because we were so much faster on ASR that they had to reduce our pay. Then it was that they "had to keep up with industry standards" that they had to reduce our pay. Yeah, the standards of paying CEO's $500,000 a year plus bonuses.

there are a couple ER docs that consistently say "emergency department" - But VR keeps putting "emergency room"

Tell me about it....I've sent a couple of things through and all I get are excuses. I don't think they even listen to the jobs to see what we're talking about.

Now it is separating words consistently. I cant pull one off the top of my head but they look right separate but are supposed to be a single word..And how come within the same report a drug name may be capped and then a sentence later lower case, which is the correct format btw..Im really getting frustrated..can ya tell?

I am wondering on clean void urine culture, do I need to put a slash in between clean and void? Then when I have to write grade II, do I capitalize the word Grade? I am doing a dictation report in Urology and in the list of impressions, the doctors dictates: Hyponatremia, probably secondary to hyperglycemia. (sounds like he says "transficate" artificial and "transficies" amd Zarololyn. Is it acceptable to flip the word order for sutures to avoid starting a sentence with a number? If "quarter percent Marcaine" is dictated at the beginning of a sentence, I would transcribe "Marcaine 0.25%." Can I extend this rule when "zero Dexon" starts the sentence to transcribe "Dexon 0"? ...

I just started with an orthopaedic group. I am having a heck of a time finding this test. He says "Negative (open can). Negative drop-arm test." I know there is such a thing as Empty can test but it sounds nothing like "empty can". Sounds like "open can". Is there such a thing? Also, is it post injection, post-injection or postinjection.
