Be thankful that you have work. I've been sitting in front of the computer all day long and so far I have transcribed 7 reports.
in chair all day - fastback

I can believe it. Get this, we only get voice from a server which is garbled and picked over, then we type a header sheet so they can scan it, then we type the report and email it at __ centers per line. Nothing works. What a productive job. I can make more in one day at another company than I can do in three weeks with this one. Count your bleesings, it may get beter

Thought I was doing something wrong. Can't make any money and never had that problem before. Now, after reading everyone's posts, seems to be a universal thing. I used to bring home $3000 a month, now bringing home $300. They used to take out more than that in one week in taxes!
The cushion is completely flattened from my big rear end, and now I can't sit for more than a hour without the numb-butt feeling. I'm looking for a good chair but, of course, I'm on an MT salary, so I can't pay top dollar. I'm thinking about $150 or so. Any ideas? ...
I'm looking for a good transcription chair. When we started working from home I asked to take my chair and told I could not. I even offered to buy it from them but still could not get it. I want one that adjusts in height and has arms that move in or out as well as up and down. The chair at the hospital was over a $400.00 chair and it was so comfortable. If anyone knows of a good place to purchase one of these over the internet please let me know.

Good morning,
Wound care physician states "The patient was brought in by portable S/L CHERRY chair, was driven down by the driver, not a trained medical attendant" Cant document the CHERRY part. Not sure if it is a slang term, brand name or what.
Thank you in advance. Hope everyone is staying busy!

Can anybody recommend a good chair? I am petite, 5 feet 6 inches but small and need cushioning. I need a chair for an extended day (12-20 hours), preferrably without arms, which seem to get in my way. An affordable one not over $400 if possible and fabric, as it is always hot where I live.
Thanks ...
Does anyone have some suggestions for a good quality office chair, an ergonomic model in particular which focuses on support for the lower back? I've been able to get away with relatively cheap ones for over a decade, but after a back injury last year, the cheap ones are killing me. I've tried back rests and cushions with no relief.
I've looked at some floor models in supply stores and online reviews, but can't tell which one would make a difference. I'd apprecia ...
I wanted to share my chair info with every MT. I recently read about the Body Built Chair and decided to check it out. I did finally purchase the chair after much hesitation because it cost so much. I love the chair so much! I am so pleased I purchased it. They do have a 30 day return policy. I was having pain and discomfort in my lower back, my legs, my butt, every where it seems after years of transcribing. I have purchased several chairs. ...
I'm trying to use just my balance ball right now. I have some low back problems and find that my posture is horrendous with sitting in a normal office chair; however, just the balance ball alone seems to be a little too low. Overall, it feels more comfortable on my rear end than my normal office chair and I'm definitely sitting up straighter, but wondered if anyone else out there had any experiences, good or bad, with using a balance ball or the balance ball chair setup.&nb ...
My computer chair tore up, so I needed to get a new one. I tried some out at the store and got a cushy one. After I put it together and sat in it for 30 minutes, I had severe pain. It felt like my whole body went numb and tingly. So I had to take it back.
I got a second chair and can tell it's not going to be comfortable and that I will need to take it back. I'm sick, tired, and frustrated about this. Not at the stores or the people that work there, because it's not their fault ( ...
I am looking for an ergonimic chair/saddle stool with a back or arms to buy. They are very pricey new, but I thought to see if anyone has one that just did not work out for them here. If you have one and can send me pictures and my basic deal is I am very short and need one that the seat will adjust pretty low/ ie in the neighborhood of 16 inch height I would like to hear from you. Thanks ...
This is their "official" statement I found about their wonderful platform and the ability of MTs to increase their compensation up to 100%!!! Wow!!! Spitting my coke all over the computer screen

You don't know who the managers are, or even what division is falls under, and the old managers don't have a clue, how does one escalate to find out? MTQuestions? Tossed to the wolves here..but hey hey, I still have work! LOL. Slowly losing my mind on trying to get answers while restructuring in in progress. I've learned too much from the past that patience is not always a virtue. Things get lost in the shuffle. Anyone ever had this happen to them? Any suggestions. ...
the tibial plateau and the femoral condyle. There was no meniscal injury on this side.Moving to the notch, there was significant synovitis and some loose bodies. We then moved into the ______________ position and entered the lateral compartment. Wesaw a meniscal tear at the posterolateral corner and there were also loose bodies in

I have been reading the posts of many of the unhappy MTs on this board for some time now. Seems like for those of you are happy in your present situation, so many others are just about at their "wits" in theirs. It is very sad I think to see an industry that seemed so lucrative, where you earned a decent wage for what you did, you were happy with what you did and you "loved" what you were doing.
It has been rather a tough year for me. I have been out of work over a year now and there are so ma ...
I saw somewhere that more accounts were moving to India on July 1. Did that include a huge NY account including clinics that went through a large in-house audit about 2 months ago?

I wondered if anyone has noticed a drop in their pay since being moved to this platform? I am being paid an hourly wage in order for the system to learn my accounts and also until it starts coming in as text and we get our speed up, but I have noticed about a 200 to 300 dollar drop in my pay. Anyone else experience this with this crappy platform? ...
Have you ever had a patient's report bring you to absolute tears? I've been doing this for nearly 9 years and this if the first time this has happended...wondering if this job is really starting to get the best of me? ...
Once your primary moved to the new platform, did you still have access to Bayscribe to work on your secondaries when work was low? And were you told there were certain requirements you must meet in order to move with your account to BeyondText? ...
She demanded schedule changes of all M-F MTs because of end-of-the-week/weekend TAT problems. I wasn't concerned because my entire schedule is for those troublesome days. Now I get an email that she moved too many people to my shift, and she wants me to change!!?????
It is so frustrating working here on so many levels. I can't wait until I finish school and will be out of here! ...
I've already been through school with Andrews and am getting ready to start the transition ICD-10 course, and I honestly don't mean to be a jerk about M modal. I do feel badly for the MTs there, but I don't see why all the MM coding talk couldn't have just stayed with the MM side of the board. Anyone else feel the same? ...
One ad I saw starts at $12.45 an hour. Right now I make more, but it's only a matter of time until I don't. If anyone has tried this, I'd appreciate some insight.
Thanks!!!! ...
What kind of chairs are best for transcribing? 22 yrs and still can't find the right chair. Mainly backside/low back hurt and legs go numb. I am short also. Is it really worth saving up to buy an expensive chair?? Anyone use a roho cusion? I bought a cheap gel cushion but it was too "high" (2 inch one). ...
This industry doesn't pay enough anymore. Why do you stay? I have been in this business since the early 80s, have worked for hospitals and services and had my own accounts. I was always able to make great money until now. As soon as my pay dropped from what it was ($25-35/hr or more with own accounts) to about $10 an hour for a service, I was done. I started looking and found a job in a hospital that pays a lot more, with benefits and paid time off. ...
