Hi,

just found out DSG is now part of m-modal.

I would appreciate knowing how much their employee/spouse health insurance is, and if it is any good or not.

Like you, I escaped MQ long ago, only to be forced into working for the cesspool of MT companies again. Words can't describe how sick I feel right now.

DSG has joined the bandwagon of not giving a crap about their employees, as long as the money keeps rolling in for the suits!

Horrible insurance. Only one choice this year, take it or leave it. High deductible, high out of out pocket and also high premium. I suppose it would be better than nothing, but I know some posters actually got better insurance calling around to third party insurers.

Sorry to hear about DSG and no this miserable one does not love company. I like to sulk alone. Good luck.

I'm still with United Health Care, but not through MQ/M*Modal, but privately. The premium was 100/month cheaper, deductible was close but a little less, but once met, they'll pay 100%, not the 70/30 M*Modal offers.

I thought employer benefits were supposed to be cheaper??

At my age, the private policies are really high :( - thanks for the info! NM

I am new to the MTSO thing. IC for 10 years and bought my own health insurance. It was $242.00 a month, and I let it go a few months ago after losing my job. Now I am being offered by my employer an HSA plan for around the same amount or a PPO plan for around $300.00. (this is them paying 60% and me paying 40% and that is what it equals??) This is my first VR job. I cannot make enough lines to qualify for health insurance on it. This is the first time I have ever had this problem. I could easily exceed my line count with a straight typing job. The only way I could meet line count now is if I blaze through the jobs without proofreading and put out bad-quality jobs. I just recently got MQ health insurance. I was wondering how it works since it is just a HSA and not a PPO or HMO. Please correct me if I am wrong, but from what I have heard this insurance plan (BC/BS?) does not cover primary care office visits until you reach a 2500 dollar deductible, no copay anymore, paying for the whole visit?? I thought all insurance companies had us pay a copay, not the whole cost of the office visit.
