Cbay/Heartland/Medquist - layoffs

I remember when the layoffs happened and then feared the worst when Cbay bought us last year.  My question is this:  What was the layoff package?  Severence?  How long did it last and what did it include?  Thanks in advance.

they finished out my week of pay. That was it. Got the notice in the middle of the day of a mandatory meeting, no notice, and locked out of the system effective immediately. They were very underhanded about it, and the guy was very cold and nearly laughing about the situation as we cried. I hope karma catches up with him some day. The bottom line is that we really didn't see it coming & there was no warning.

Karma will catch up. Even the Indians themselves believe in Karma. - And boy are they due.

You do reap what you sow in life. I have seen in already in my lifetime. It is true. And if not in this lifetime and good luck in the next.

I have a feeling if not enough MTs walk out after this email, there is eventually going to be a huge layoff.

That is shame to be so underhanded and fire all of you in that way, but I guess that is how big business operations and the little guy has no recourse. Even our own Supreme Court is for big business.

was a no-notice, got an email right then saying mandatory meeting in a few minutes, urgent, everyone MUST attend, etc. Not the standard mandatory meetings we usually have, so I wouldn't worry about your meeting at this point.

We had layoffs in groups about every 6 months to a year, until finally the last batch was laid off and ALL the work was sent to India. Everyone kept saying it could never happen, but it did. They chose profits over quality.  I wish the doctors, hospitals, and patients would wake up! ...

If you can't hear parts of the dictation, leave a QA marker.  It looks really bad when the client is on 100% for ILPs and all you did was copy and paste an old progress note with a few changes to the impression and plan.  Seriously?!  Did you listen to any of the dictation?  Cuz it didn't come close to matching up.
