Dear MQ/Cbay ILP who I QA'd tonight - Sad

If you can't hear parts of the dictation, leave a QA marker. It looks really bad when the client is on 100% for ILPs and all you did was copy and paste an old progress note with a few changes to the impression and plan. Seriously?! Did you listen to any of the dictation? Cuz it didn't come close to matching up.

Sure, the dictator was difficult and hard to hear, but I could hear enough to know that what the ILP typed didn't even come close to what was said, and I did complete the report with only 2 blanks. While I was correcting the whole report, when I looked up an old progress note by the same dictator on same patient, it was nearly word for word besides a few changes for the vitals and impression and plan, so I know that it wasn't copy/pasted and accidently sent prematurely. I don't think the ILP knew that the client was on 100% review for ILPs.

Now, the first time the ILP did this, I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but when it was done for 3! reports later with the same dictator, that's a problem.

For 1 or 2 cpl, what more could be expected? - I kinda do not blame

the ILP. I am just surprised they were getting a doctor that difficult. I thought that was saved for me to day ALL DAY LONG.

I do blame the ILP. They were hired to do a job - got integrity

and do it correctly despite what ever their salary is. According to what I have seen in online India sites, they are paid well for where they live and that is why many go for training for this job.

Any QA recourse for what this ILP is doing?

They are paid well for their cost of living, yet here I am typing at about 2 pennies more what they decided to screw up in the first place... I reported the person, but I doubt they will get more than a slap on the hand, maybe the free yoga benefits will be suspended for a week.

They take your job, routinely get the easier dictations, are better paid with much lower living costs than you. Then, they cheat and do substandard, sloppy work, and you ''kinda do not blame them''!? Seriously? Takes all kinds.

That 1 or 2 cents is like us getting 8-9 cents. Their standard of living is less. I heard these ILP MT's are glad to get that 1-2 cents.

I guess ya'll are right. Cost of living-wise, they are making every bit as much as I am. They should do the same quality work. I was just having a bad day Friday, getting bad work all day, and feeling sorry for myself while everybody else I knew was off for Good Friday and just made a flip comment.
