but I don't drink. Would love to have some daily hor d'oeuvres on a silver platter, also some punch - maybe wine cooler. Last wine cooler I had was several years ago, *when I was still getting invited to spend holidays with family members*

I'm so happy - this Thanksgiving, I don't have to work ON Thanksgiving - OR the day after - I've got 4 whole days off!! Yeah!!!

Every New Years eve mom would let the babysitter make us Shirley Temples in fancy glasses.

Got to share this punch recipe it's so delicious.

COPA - Stands for Cranberry, Orange, Pineapple, and Apple. Mix equal amounts, put orange slices and cherries or whatever you want in the punch bowl. It is so good I'd love to make it again, but only with the two of us that's an awful lot of punch to drink.

I think I'd add some Vernor's Ginger Ale - wheres_my_job

We used to get Shirley Temples at my grandparents' bar in Detroit, the few times we went there as children. We thought it was the greatest thing.

What else:

10 second walk from the bedroom to my office.

Can wake up 15 minutes before I have to be at work.

Can shower at lunch time or take a nap.

Cheap lunches. No coffee funds.

Live in my PJs. so much my cats freak out when I put on jeans. :-)

i like the solitude (most times). I like taking a break and walking along the ocean. or taking my dog for a walk. I enjoy the pup sitting on my lap (like glue so i dont get up). And i love to prepare my meals early AND OF COURSE MY FAVORITE is cocktail hour starting at my desk. haha

After all the crap we go through it is nice to try to remember what we like about working at home. I work in animal rescue and I like not having to leave all of them home alone all day. I like not having to put on makeup. I like not having to buy work clothes and worry about what to wear every day and like someone else said I like not spending a buttload of money on gas.

I like not having people around me all day gossiping and complaining...I can get much more work done at home. ( I also like the sweat pants and that I can take a nap whenever I want).

Anyone working on my records or my family's records had better not be "drinking on the job." Sorry, how can you even think of such a thing? You need every brain cell on alert when dealing with medical records. Do NOT agree with this practice. Worse than drinking and driving. No chance of getting caught. Who is policing you???

Yeah, you read that right! I not only had to e-mail her before I went but after I got back...AND I had to ANNOUNCE it to the whole office as I left for the restroom AND announce it when I got back! One of the MANY reasons I quit

Becoming pretty much inactive, get up, login and work. Get off, turn on the TV and lay down or maybe spend a few hours on your favorite website. As far as making meals, they are far and few between because you eat in between working, breaks or just grab something totally unhealthy when you get off. For years, I NEVER got dressed. Worked in sweats, pulled my hair back and that was it. For the past six months or so, I get completely dressed, put on makeup, and for some reason, I feel A LOT better now and enjoy my work more! I am needing to replace my computer-- my desktop is so slow it is really nonfunctional and I fried my laptop. My question is, I would prefer to buy another laptop but if I wanted to do work from home, does a laptop really suffice? Got an office job 3 days a week making $15 hour, still will do Mt prn, but won't have to stress anymore about my lines. I am glad I got to stay home with my kids over those years, but if I had to do it again, I would of stayed working.
