Everytime I do this doctor's transcription (ironically he is a pulmonologist) he snorts phlegm in the back of his nose right into the microphone and will even cough from it sometimes because he does it so hard. Tonight during an 11 min. dictation by him, halfway through I had to get up and run to the bathroom because I was gagging. He did it 5 times in the first 5 min. of the job. I once reported a doc who uses voice recognition and apparently did her dictation on her lunch break WHILE she chewed her food, causing lots of editing and blanks. Otherwise I just grit my teeth with the ones who pop and chomp gum in my ear, or the doctor who spends half his time talking to everyone else around him, etc. but I have no clue what to do in this case. I don't know if anybody would want to approach a specialist and tell him to stop snorting in the microphone? At the same time, I don't enjoy vomiting! Should I report it?
