A community of 30,000 US Transcriptionist serving Medical Transcription Industry
Hello...I am an at-home transcriptionist who decided to take an office job. However, that job did not work out and I had to leave it. To take said office job I gave up a lot of accounts, and while I'm working now, last month I made around $400. Last pay period's check was a whopping $227. I received a letter from my prior employer advising me under NY Law I was allowed to apply for unemployment benefits.
I am currently working at my previous at home job, but like I said, making almost no money. So am I allowed to apply for unemployment? I thought unemployment was when you had zero job.
Any advice will be good. I'm applying, but with the holidays it's hard to get something solid right now. TIA
