Swine flu shot? - Jen

Has anyone gotten the swine flu shot, as in those working in hospitals or in home. They say it is on the rise again and I am debating on whether to get it. I work at home, so no risk from hospitals, but I do have kids in school to bring it home to me. They say the 30-somethings (me) get a VERY bad case of it and the kids are usually fine? So much info and so many decisions, makes you want to wear a mask on a day to day basis.

I got the shot a while ago and had no side effects whatsoever from it. My husband got the nasal spray, and he didn't have any problems with that either. My 2 kids got the shot also without any problems.

I got it and the regular flu shot (sm) - Long time MT

Glad I got them both. No problems with either one of them.

I already got the swine flu, so doc said she didnt - think I needed the shot til this fall.

I got the regular flu shot first, then the swine flu shot a few weeks later, both of them this past fall-winter. No side effects at all, I work at a clinic. I didn't get sick at all either, knock-on-wood. I would recommend getting vaccinated if it is available to you.

I got the swine flu maybe a month or so ago. It was not good. My mother had it and my son so I knew what I was getting and immediately started taking Tamiflu, which helped a lot. My son is 12 and got it. He felt bad, but I have to say he had a mild case. My mom had a horrible case. Mine was in the middle, not mild, not extreme. My husband had it last year and I thought I was gonna have to take him to the ER. His fever was 103.7, and he was so sick he was in tears. He said he had never been that sick. It is some pretty bad stuff I tell ya.

OK, here's the scoop. I am working on an older company-provided Dell running XP that's basically on the very last of its legs (got the blue screen of death this morning but was able to finally get to Windows and into my program).
