While I enjoy reading the posts here at mtstars, I also am seeking a way out and transition my MT skills into other career paths. My interests are geared towards Healthcare IT and I would like to share some resources with other MT's who are seeking the same career transition along the line of HIT, etc.

Now that many organizations have completed the electronic health record implementations that were consuming their attention and resources, they’re ready to tackle other priorities.

This is motivating, to say the least. I don't know if I have the brain capacity to start an I.T. career at almost 60 years old. The thought of taking college classes and working toward a degree makes me tired. The I.T. specialists I know are (in my opinion) geniuses. I tell them that I don't think I could do their job, and then they tell me that they could never do MY job! So maybe it's worth looking at.
