COM and TL changing positions.... - Concerned MT

Just received an e-maiil that both of these are changing positions in the company and we have been told who the replacements are. I hope the new ones are as nice and understanding when needed as the ones that leaving have been. Otherwise I'll be looking for a new job if they're mean and rude.

Why do we feel that every change is dangerous for us? Because experience teaches us this. Is it to keep us all unsettled, prevent anyone from having a good relationship with their supervisor that might make them actually like their job? It makes no sense. Does anybody know how widespread this was?

TSM last week. It was very sudden beginning with a conference call. She was absolutely the best TSM I ever had and I've been around MT for a very long time.

I was on the KH team but moved about a month ago to a new account but then was placed emergently back on my old account but not switched supervisors. I then saw the email about a conference call and would have hopped on out of curiosity but it was at a time I was not available. I doubt it came as a surprise to her as things had been shaking up but I do hope she gets to move on to bigger and better things.

A TSM by the initials GS is throwing not only KH under the bus, but has thrown PB and others under the bus as well. She is trying to put blame on others for her inefficiencies. All I have to say is Karma will catch her sooner rather than later and she will receive her just rewards! It might just be that incentive carrot they wave around shoved up her you know what!

or anything from the new "leaders" on the account. The changes went into effect Saturday. I certainly hope they manage it better than this or I can see the client terminating the contract!

Heard a rumor that the CTL positions are being eliminated around the 15th. Perhaps this is a question you should ask your CCMs/area directors? Not sure if it is true but when asked specifically, it was not denied but there is something brewing around the 15th. Seems like all CTLs will be moved to the MME positions and the CCMs will assume the CTL duties. Sounds like another shake up at the Q which always happens around the holidays. Wonder if ...

Can anyone give me information on companies who hire IC's with a 24-hour turn around time? I want to get my work today and turn it in by a certain time the next day without having to work a schedule or in pools. When I spoke with the recruiter, it sounded like there were just a few positions available. Yet, another recruiting ad showed up on Tuesday evening at another major MT recruiting website. Just wandering if there are any employee positions that aren't just editing out there. I feel like I am not growing as an MT doing nothing but editing. Unless I choose to just edit and accept this is the new norm at 3 cents a line, eventually getting my own voice recognition software for the future for any accounts I want to get on my own. Does anyone ever simply e-mail a resume to a company rather than completing the long, drawn out application they want filled out when you click the link to apply? I have 30 years of experience and do not want to spend time filling in information about every job I have ever had and why I left, where I went to school, emergency contacts, etc on their application, only to never hear from the company and would prefer just to e-mail a resume with a cover letter. I am looking for a true IC position where I can work when I am available due to being handicapped.
