I found this book in a used book store. Bought it becuase it has puzzles in the back I would like to do. The DVD with supposedly the answers is missing. Does anyone have this disk who can copy/paste the answers?

Are you just a book/puzzle lover and like to do them, or are you seriously thinking about becoming an MT? If you are, a little book ain't gonna cut it.

Like most everything I buy, I bought it because I wanted to!! It had some proofreading exercises, reports to find misspelled words, and the puzzles that I thought would be interesting to do as a refresher. I have owned my own transcription business since 2001 and worked for a military hospital for 5 years before that doing multispecialty transcription. Thanks for your interest in my spending habits.

I have the 4th edition of the Hillcrest MT book from when I taught MT classes at a community college in 1989-1990. It has a 3.5" square disk, which I've never used. If you have an old computer that can take a 3.5" disk and the puzzles are the same, I will send it to you. (What the heck is with the dislikes to your first post??? What is wrong with people on this board?)

Whatever OP's spending habits are, are not my concern. I don't care about the dislikes. Sorry that I mistook her question about the disk as just for her wanting it to go with her book, I thought it was a question of becoming an MT just by reading a book. If she would've read the first sentence of my post, she could've just said that she just wants to the disk to go with her book and that she is already an MT. God, the nastiness on here! Spend your money however you want, I don't care!

What is the web-based platform they now use and how do/did you like it? Looking to hear from anyone who works/worked with this company and can share their experiences. Are lines still hard to reach? Do different medical transcription companies prefer 2nd or 3rd Book of Style? The pdf electronic version of BOS-2 was so handy and easy to use. Wonder what made them decide to do away with that & make it to where you have to open a browser, find the link, sign in, find the BOS page, etc., for the 3rd edition. It's so much more time-consuming, not to mention the search feature doesn't work nearly as well as the BOS-2 pdf version. I cannot get the software to give me totals except in tab delineation, and then I only get totals for each report, not the total sum, which I have to count manually. It keeps showing the documents being counted in the background as read-only, but they are not, unchecked box several times. Anybody? Thanks in advance. just me ...

Has anybody ever heard of The Transcription Center out of Mansfield, TX. I saw an ad looking for PT 0.08 cpl. I am curretly working for 0.07 cpl and have been for three years. It should have been a red flag when the S/O stated that this client could not find reliable help, that every kept quitting or just not signing on to work when they were supposed to.
