I see posts on here from time to time complaining about employers. Granted, some employers are worse than others and some are just plain bad. However, I think we get so wrapped up in "ourselves" and what we want, that we forget to take a lot of things into consideration when we are up on our soapbox in a public, yet "anonymous" forum. Let's just get it straight here - there are no "perfect" companies -- just like there are no "perfect" individuals - but there are some companies that are really good to work for - and this post is about a good one.
I left a "bad" company 5 years ago and came to work for SoftScript. It was difficult for me to leave because I had been there for so many years; however, once I came to SoftScript, I was amazed that there still are companies out there that really do care about their employees! They still have to make those "hard decisions" sometimes, but those decisions are fair and well thought-out and are always for the best. I don't worry any longer about losing my job because of realignment of staff, outsourcing to India and/or Philippines, or just because they are downsizing. I know as long as I do a good job for SoftScript - there will always be a place for me at SoftScript. I wish I had come to them 10 years sooner than I did!
