There is sooo much negative here that I just felt the need to say that there are good companies to work for. I always have plenty of work, my supervisor is polite, caring, and understanding. I love my job! And before anyone asks, NO, I will not give out the name of the company, because I don't want them being overwhelmed with emails and phone calls. Yes, I did look for this position for over a year, and worked for one not so nice company and two wonderful companies that just were not a match to my schedule, but the jobs are out there, if you are willing to work to get them. Good things do come to those that keep a positive attitude and put the work into finding them. They are not just going to fall into your lap!

I too, have found a great company to work for. Plenty of work, no VR, weekly pay and generally get left alone to do my work :)

Congratulations on your good positon- I wish you continued success.

While I agree there are many negative posts, please understand that this is the only place many people get to vent and not feel so isolated.

Apparently there are some good ones out there. I recently spoke with a previous inhouse coworker, and she told me she loves the online company she works for. She's been with them for 5 years now. She said they never bother her, pay her well, give bonuses, and even offered her a raise recently. On her encouragement, I applied with them but so far haven't received a response. I sure hope they'll call me!

I think there are good hospitals and clinics to work for, - but MT companies? Nuh-uh.

I have been with my MTSO for 2-1/2 years and love it. Decent pay and benefits, very flexible about when you work, great account, no VR, no offshoring, helpful and respectful QA, management that leaves you alone to work and responds when you need something. I honestly can't think of anything more that I would want from an MTSO. I feel very fortunate.

I have been with them for 9 years now. Technically they have changed twice though--They did great and then sold out to a national, which went belly up and, then started back up on their own again and thankfully took a lot of us "originals" back.

They are the bomb as far as how they treat us. There are times when the work ran low or out completely, but they always try their hardest to make sure that doesn't happen.

Who knows what the future will bring but, no, not all companies out there are bad.

In the last few weeks I have been applying and applying and applying. I have been reading nothing but horror stories on here and yesterday I think I finally lost it and broke down. Your post has given me hope that something good will happen and not to give up. An attitude change couldn't hurt either. Thank you.

I'm certainly getting discouraged by reading more and more on this board. I used to work for MModal when it was Medquist and they seem just as bad on here. TTS has bad reviews. Seriously other than working at an office, which simply isn't feasible for me, are there any reputable, legit companies out there?
