Silent Type MTs - required pages for the day? - wondering

Are any of you getting the minimum required pages for the day?, because I'm not. Kinda erks too, as it really brings our average down and our benefits and PTO are based on our average pages, not to mention the bonus, which will now be the minimum because we can't get work.

Yesterday I got nothing at all. Today there was a little, but not nearly the minimum.

I'm glad to finally see something here. I was beginning to think no one was having problems but me. How long can this go on? It's been since Easter.

After looking at the Silent Type Website, I think it is only going to get worse, as they have initiated a voice-to-text platform for the doctors to use, to input directly into the EMR and bypass the MTs.

OMG....if we are all being phased out, why doesn't she have the decency to inform us about our livelihood. I have certainly been afraid to ask....I've been checking this site out every day to try to find an answer on what is going on. M, if you are seeing any of these posts, you better start communicating with your lowly employees.

OMG is soooo right. I think a lot of us have been wondering what was going on, emails just ignored regarding the work or if answered was with a rude reply or snippy and short, like we shouldn't be asking in the first place.

We are all scared to death of The Wrath of M!!! (including me) and that's why no one has demanded answers and lets her just brush us off like pesky flies.

i'm so tired of trying to milk the system for a page.....after 12-14 hours a day and still don't have the pages I used to in 4.

they can until the big news. They want to keep MTs working so their numbers look good to the company purchasing them. I am on my second buyout in less than 3 years. Each time, it gets worse for the MTs as far as wages and benefits. I hesitate to get another job with a medium or small company because it seems inevitable at this point that they will be bought.

I have no choice but to agree with you, Old Pro. As much as it hurts me to admit it, I do believe Silent Type is just about on its last leg. It is so sad because it used to be such a great place to work. I'm thinking my last minute is right about now since it appears that dedication means absolutely nothing in this business.

Let this be a fair warning, they are losing accounts. Her (M) latest and greatest technology is biting her in the butt!!!! Just spent money on training to go up there and she lost the account,(all withing a month) and yes with a snippy e-mail, when asking why? She is not going to change, how she has stayed in business this many years is beyond me.

What a coincidence. The place I work for also has had diminishing work since Easter. No word from them either as to why.

Just wondering if any of you have filed for partial unemployment? It seems like a lot of MTs are doing it at other companies due to little or no work, so maybe it is possible in this case.

Same here, I haven't been able to make minimums for several weeks. I tried once to email M, got the snippy reply. Did you get the email the other day that the work load will be low in June? How can it get any worse? Maybe it's time to learn how to flip burgers at McD's... probably make more there at this point.

the reason I suggest a sale is because the same thing happened to me a few years ago with another company and all the signs are there. I hope I am wrong, and I wish all Silent Typers the best.

Ive been with ST for 11 years and even when I started there was talk about this industry changing, India and voice recognition taking over. Did you all really not know it was coming? And M, she started this company and employed many of us for years. I believe she will do all she can to change with the times and technology. She's stayed in this business for so long because she's about the business. I respect that. I guess it may be time to look for another position if you're really struggling but I agree with M, its just cowardly to post it here.

I have been with Silent Type for a year now. I enjoy the fact we work M-F schedule and no weekends. I also enjoy the fact that we have good QA. I also enjoy the fact we get vacation and bonuses. I also enjoy the fact we are offered health insurance and 401-K. Girls don't forget these perks when you are complaining about the work being light. Is anyone getting work?? I am told there is plenty of work, but keep getting "no jobs available". If you are getting work, when do you get it?? I have flexed every way I know and still get no work. I was hired and told there was plenty of work. I could get all the pages I wanted. I am seeing a patten of only 1-2 days a week where I get work and the other days it just trinkles in.
