Anyone else having trouble replying by email? - Viva

I just tried to reply to one of the job ads here and the attempt was immediately rejected, so I went ahead and sent directly from my email addy instead.

Anyone else had this problem?

I have removed a few ads from the Job Seeker's board because they are NOT transcription companies but headhunter/recruiting firms.

They are using several different "names" and e-mail addresses, etc., such as "Excalibur" or "telerecruiting@" and are all part of the same group (Global Marketing Specialist Group). This is NOT an MT company.

This company wants $150 for a "background fee" and then they will release your name to "several clients" who may begin contacting you to set up interviews, etc.

IMPORTANT: We are not stating that the company is not legitimate. However, we do not believe they are being as transparent and forthcoming as they should be to receive your information.

I cannot express to you how important it is for you to take responsibility for your own information: Do NOT send it out or respond to any ad (here or anywhere else) that does not give you a full disclosure on who they are and how they are to be contacted. You should be able to research and find credible information on a company that is worthy of handling your personal information with integrity.

I watch the ads closely and remove those that do not comply. However, you are ultimately responsible for your own protection when contacting these companies.

No, it was a real ad from a real company, DiskRiter. I just emailed the person directly from my email when I saw her address in the "undeliverable" response. She got it just fine and sent me a nice note.

Rather than a "thank you" for spending a LOT of uncompensated time trying to locate a patient in their records with NO demographics, (no MRM, no spelling of name, no age given, no DOB) and a name that has MULTIPLE possible spellings I get a nasty note that it was in the system. My laptop crashed today and is now in the shop. I am trying to use our home desktop but can't get the files to completely download. I called customer service, but since I am using our home computer, they won't help, only told me to make sure that any firewalls are turned off before installing DS. All of the sudden, it is hung on the download screen. The box popped up saying "downloading job #xxxxxxxx. Getting job details." And then the log out button is below that. Explorer 8 on Medquist computer? They sent me a new computer because the fan went out in the old one and the new one had Explorer 8 on it. Now anything internet-based such as DocQmanage (client profiles, etc.) the text has letters that are different colors, making it very hard to read, and tech support cannot figure out how to fix it. I recently accepted a position with a company because this company had supposedly obtained a huge account. After completing the paperwork, sending it back, training on the account and working for about 3 days, I was told that the account was lost.
