question about Oracle recruiters - lovnlife

Seeing the post below, I have a question about Oracle recruiters. I have applied there several times, have 15 years of experience, and still no word from them. Are their recruiters just rude or what? I wonder because I have the experience, but I have on my resume that I have satellite and 64-bit Windows Vista. Could that be why they are not responding to me? It would be nice if someone somewhere along the line would respond to me by saying they do not support satellite or Vista, or whatever the case may be. It gets very frustrating sending my resume over and over (to any company) and never get a response!

I have many years of experience, impeccable credentials and references, and do not have satellite or Vista. (I have XP and DSL). Nonetheless, Oracle never deigned to respond to me when I applied around a year and a half ago. I am a 300 lph powerhouse and references to prove it and a 99% QA rating. So who knows how they think?

That doesn't make sense. Why is she doing this? Doing what? Looking for a job? Especially one that probably pays less than the one she has? Same as me. We are losing accounts to VR and EMR. Speaking for myself anyway. I am being forced to go from 13 cpl and 11.5 cpl as an IC to 7 cpl where experience doesn't matter because my job is ending Oct. 1st and that's all there is! And even that is almost impossible. I, too, can crank out 300 lines an hour and have 13 yrs experience and yet you either fail these stupid tests for no reason or they don't even reply to you. One lady said, "You can test again in 6 months." I replied, "I have 13 years of experience. What is 6 months going to do?" Goofy.

It has been my experience that these MTSOs do not hold onto the hundreds of resumes they receive. Once they have hired who they want, the resumes go in the trash. When they need to hire again, they place an ad and start all over again with the hundreds of resumes that come in. They probably never saw your resume if you did not receive a callback. Maybe it was on the bottom of the pile. I do know that OTI does not have a bunch of recruiters and they do not have time to e-mail every resume that comes in. Once you get in, it is a great place to work. Good luck to you!

I have been transcribing since 1990 and have seen pay cut after pay cut. I used to work for a hospital before California changed things around. Now I work for a big service. I am also in the 300 lph club but at the rate they are paying, I do not make much (and I am the head of my household). Not complaining here, it is just reality. I am long way from retiring. Stinks.

for weeks. I sent multiple emails, made calls, and finally got through and was hired. At the time, there was no person in a dedicated recruiter role. I wouldn't doubt if that hasn't changed. They were very disorganized with hiring, but the job was very good. I left because I needed benefits. If you really want the position, don't give up on it easily.

32 bit windows - MTB

From my experience, MTSOs are not fond of satellite and you need 32 bit Vista windows. Also, 32 bit Windows 7 if you get a new computer. Maybe an air card would work for you. That is a 3G network.

For awhile now and have applied for tons of jobs outside the MT industry. I haven't had a lot of luck until all of a sudden it's like an explosion of jobs just this week. I started tutoring elementary school kids in reading at 25.00 to 30.00 an hour. I haven't had much work for months. Since last summer actually. Can never make minimum. Sounds like a pretty reasonable place to work. Hardly ever read any posts here about them so I assume, no news is good news and their employees must be fairly content.
