Okay, if this is how this company runs, I will not take the job.  I applied for a job for acute care.  They offered me the job.  I turned it down because at the time I was afraid to leave MModal whom I have been with for over 17 years.  MModal now wants me to start working weekends, which I know in this profession, they were going to get me to do it sooner or later.  Then I applied for the Ambulatory side of Nuance as they said it is a M-F position.  Passed the test.  Said they would like to hire me and do an interview over the phone.  So I gave her the best times to call me.  Never got back to me.  E-mailed her again, and she said call me this Friday, gave me her cell phone #.  Called Friday, got her voice mail.  Left a message.  Sent another e-mail saying I called.  Got reply back that she apologized and that she will call me Wed at 8:30.  Well it's 8:45 and still no call.  I have come to the conclusion that they really don't need me.  Anyway with all the posts I see on here, doesn't sound like I should make this move.  I guess I'll stay put and just deal with the weekends until I find something better.

I had a similar experience. I made arrangements to have my someone watch my kids while I waited for a call and never got the call. I had many unanswered emails too. When she did finally call, she called late. Did you ever hear from her?

Unfortunately, this is how Nuance operates. The management - leaves something to be desired.

IMO, I think things are changing, for the worse. Never have I seen so much management yet they don't have time to respond, always delegating but never getting anything done, don't return calls or emails....excuses excuses...in a call... doing something.... backed up on emails....always so busy and apologizing for not getting back to someone.

You were probably saved from going to work for N; it is horrible. I left M*M, well actually it was Medquist then to work for Nuance and lasted two weeks. I read everything negative, but the recruiter was so helpful and accommodating, I thought it would be a good move; at least a lateral one at best. I struggled after quitting and then ended up back at M*M. That was another mistake and finally quit again on the spot, so I would not be tempted to go back. I did finally find something else, but come January 2015, who knows what is going to happen with all the new EMR stuff going on! I need to get out of MT completely.

The ambulatory side is no better than the other side. In the beginning, yes, but of course now Nuance has had time to get their hands into everything. They will promise you exclusives which you will have until they decide to take them away, with no notice. Recently happened to me. I'm guessing they all went to India. Everything you read about Nuance and anyone associated with them is true. Don't take the job unless you have no other options and even then keep looking.

That's the way it would work in any other business. The hiring manager would assume they were being jerked around by you. First you want to work with them, then you don't.

According to a poster below which has apparently already attended one of the payroll meetings (as the poster posted) for nuance they have decided to keep the incentive part of all of our pay going with an exception that now you have to have over the industry standard of 98% to get a production based incentive. In addition (if this poster is accurate) they have again cut the overall pay from 8 and 4 to 3 3/4 AND 7 1/2. This is nothing but a bunch of crapploa...an MT who is now getting ...

I thought they were 2 different services.  Everyone is buying out everyone, so who knows.  All the small companies have been merged I guess.  I thought Nuance was out of New York and were the primary with VR.  Maybe one has to keep up with the changes and be a member and pay the dues and go to the meetings with AAMT and be a CMT to keep up with the changes, even though you still get 4 cents. ...

Does anyone know why the ad says "No inquiries from overseas" when they obviously offshore the work?  Anyone reading that would incorrectly assume they do not offshore.  I was reading an article in the newspaper that a journalist was talking about a few days ago regarding the hospital outsourcing to the Web/Nuance, and the spokesperson for the hospital said in the article that the company only employs US MTs.  ...
