has anyone interviewed via yahoo for an MT position with CHS - ohwise124

I applied for a job on mtjobs.com. I received an email for an interview via yahoo. They want to deposit $$ in an account for me to buy "supplies/software/etc" so I can start my MT job with them. Has anyone ever heard of this? I'm sensing scam......

This is a scam.

I'm thinking scam as well, if they want to put money in an account for you to use to buy supplies.

You're usually asked to buy those out of your own pocket as an IC MT, so this doesnt sound quite right I'm thinking.

Have them send you a check. Don't supply anyone who has not hired you, etc., your bank account information every!!

Sending you a check, then depositing, then a week later you find out its a fraud check, only you have spent the money already.

Sounds fishy, but maybe paying you through paypal..?

This is a scam; no company would ever do that. If you decide to give it a try though, have them send the check, deposit it and don't spend it until is clears. This happened to my son a couple of years ago and they sent him a money order no less, which he deposited, but didn't spend and it was counterfeit. I don't get why people do these kind of things, but they do. I don't think I would even mess with them, look for something else.

Don't even reply, respond, or anything else. Just delete anything you have with them at all. And certainly do NOT even deposit the check because they can ask for a copy to prove deposit and it will have your signature and bank stamp info on it. Don't do it!

In my 12 years working in this field, I have never heard of a company wanting to deposit money into your bank account to buy "supplies." It sounds like a total scam to me and I would absolutely NOT give them your bank account information, or any other personal information for that matter.

I agree, stay away, delete, unsubscribe, whatever it takes, do not reply. These are desperate times, especially in the field of transcription and these vultures are preying upon people just for that reason alone.

I recently interviewed for this company. Spoke with a recruiter and hiring manager. They were offering 2nd and 3rd shifts. They provide 12 PTO days per year to be used after the first 3 months, 401 K, and benefits. The accounts they offered me were 100% domestic; however, they do off-shore some of their other accounts.
