Tested and interviewed, offered job. No PTO until 2 years, then 1 week, then 2 weeks after 4 years? Nothing is perfect, but that seems hairy. Anyone work there who wants to comment? Can you take a vacation with no pay every once in a while? Any other comments from someone who works there?

When I was there you were allowed to take 20 hours with no pay for PT and I believe FT was allowed 40 hours a year with no pay.

They have the worst PTO on earth. They also run out of work constantly. They also send out really rude emails to everyone on a daily basis.

Now it is 10 hours for part-time employees. Really. TEN HOURS. SS should be ashamed.

Thanks for posting! This is the type of information that is so helpful on the Company board. A detail like this would help MTs (like myself) not waste the time sending a resume/testing.

I wish we could have some kind of database on this board. I know I wasted half an hour testing for a company who offered 3 cpl for editing! Ugh.

Thanks to everyone for the posts. It really does help when you know what you are getting into. And then the 3cpl is horrible. Could not make minimum wage on 4cpl and all foreign doctors and no work.

I, too, was recently offered 3.0 CPL from one of the bigger companies. I also declined. I can work fast food for that.

I have am interview with SS in a few weeks. I just recently got a very good job with a very small company and think I will be happy with it. I just decided to do the interview and see what happens. I don't think I want to get involved with SS at all at this point.

If you don't want to get involved with them at all, then why not cancel the interview? You will be wasting your time as well as theirs if you have no intention of accepting the offer. That is just a suggestion from an outside observer.

What will happen is they will ask you about your experience and either offer you a job or not offer you a job. Those are the ONLY two things that CAN happen, so if you don't want the job, why do the interview?

Has anyone said that was not enough and have them counter offer with more? I don't plan on working for SS (I saw way too many complaints on the other board about them), but what about future offers which I suspect will not be any higher? I saw on the resume board what I consider way too many willing to work for 7 cpl with plenty of experience. Is it likely they will pay more when others are willing to work for so much less? I interviewed with Accentus after passing their testing. The interview seemed to go just fine. The recruiter said I will need to have a second interview with the account manager, and b/c it would be a new account, this could take 1-2 weeks. I recently interviewed for this company. Spoke with a recruiter and hiring manager. They were offering 2nd and 3rd shifts. They provide 12 PTO days per year to be used after the first 3 months, 401 K, and benefits. The accounts they offered me were 100% domestic; however, they do off-shore some of their other accounts. I tested last week and got such bad dictation I could not believe it. I tried to transcribe it as if I was getting paid the usual 8 CPL and realized it would take more time to complete it and I would be making zero money. My question is this? What is everyone's issue really? I see a lot of complaining but I have found that in this industry if you do your work and stick to your schedule you make plenty of money.
