Hi, just wondering if anyone has worked or works for Keystrokes? They offered me a job, but did not test me. for some reason that makes me a little leary that they don't test their MTs before hiring.

They are 100% ligit and have a fairly decent - reputation. See Message

A friend of mine applied with them and so did I, but they weren't hiring at the time, no empty spots available. They are a reputable company though.

Maybe someone who works there will come along and give you more info. I say take the job, what do have to loose. Did they offer you a decent cpl?

I just started a month ago. Had a few computer problems and they worked well with me, had to get a new puter and they switched accounts, which turned out to be better for my experience. I have a great lead, pay on time so far. I have no complaints. Give it a shot. Every person's experience is different. Judge for yourself.

I have worked there, as have hundreds of others, for many years. We had 1 paycut a few years back and I still make more than anywhere else. I have decent benefits, although I don't need health insurance. I make a great living, and I really could care less who is related to who.

I could care less what someone thinks, and we are entitled to our own opinions, but this person comes on over and over again. They must have a personal vendetta. Keystrokes is a decent company, and they treat their employees well. The weird threads about relatives make no sense and are untrue. Lawsuits? Most large companies have them, not just transcription because people love to sue. Cherry picking? Less than anywhere else I have ever worked. Not enough work? They work with you and always have. My account is always busy.

It is someone with sour grapes. They cannot possibly still work there because if it was that bad, they would've left. My guess is that they were fired and are bitter as can be and out to destroy KS. I don't think they're succeeding at that because I know that KS continues to expand and improve.

I know this will just bring on more bashing, but I hope that people make their own decisions and base them on facts, not one or two people ranting.

If you look in the archives, all companies are bashed at some point. The bigger ones, like KS, Transcend, MQ, Webmedx (before they sold), etc. all have bashing done.

They only thing that does worry me about KS is now they are one of the 3 or 4 largest and MQ and Nuance seem to buy the bigger companies when they get to be a certain size. I don't want to work for MQ or Nuance.

I work at KS and have for almost 3 years. However, I am only hanging out a couple more months. I have had enough and a lot of what has been stated about KS I have found to be true. I have had 3 late paychecks in the last year, 1 pay cut, a lot of BS from relatives that work there. However, I do have a 'cake' account and a backup that is always busy. If I weren't leaving the field, I would have left KS earlier if I wasn't almost finished my degree and moving on.

The only "benefit" I have have is a little bit of vacation pay that gets paid at a lousy rate, much lower than my actual hourly rate.

Some recruiters are able to actually read between the lines on resumes and tell whether you're talking the talk and doing the walk, and there are some who actually call references before they call you so they know what and who they are dealing with.

I don't know if that's what KS does or not, but I have seen that technique in the past. I have worked for Landmark for about 4 years now and they didn't test me.

Keystrokes tested me. they hired and then fired. I was not transcribing PERFECTLY at the get-go. ;)

When they count lines, do the VR lines count the same as the transcribed lines? Also ... are there ever chances to make a bonus or an incentive or maybe OT on certain accounts? My company of 11 years was bought out by Nuance. Not thrilled about this after all the negative comments on here. Starting in December we are going to their Web Clock for keeping time. Can anyone tell me how it works? Do we enter the hours worked at the end of the day or does it automatically do it for us? Our hospital is losing a lot of coders to services. I don't know which ones, might be the same, might be different. My question is, are these services kind of like MT services where you work for a national company and get a particular hospital to do their coding and get crappy benefits if any?
