Webmedx, Transcend, SoftScript, other nationals? - Looking around

May be looking for another job. Any insight on these companies? Know there is good and bad everywhere but want some honest answers. Thanks in advance!

and only go to a big nat'l as a last resort. I would stay away from SoftScript though. Good luck in your job hunt!

Question: Do you test if the test is "timed?" Like 1.5 hrs, etc.. I tend to skip those...n - arrggghh

If so, I'd highly recommend TransTech.

I couldn't be happier with an MTSO. Great communication, fair wages, I've got a great account on the eScription platform and (like it or not, VR haters), make a very decent living. The insurance company they just switched to has already saved me $75 this month alone, and my account is never short of work (except for the long 4-day Christmas weekend).

IMO, if you're good with VR or at least open to learning it, TT is one of the classiest acts around.

SoftScript is an excellent company but they need to work on the benefits that they have. Transcend is okay but their benefits are great. Just depends on what you need.

what do they pay the foreign "transcriptionists"? I've been paid 8 cents a line for the past 10 years with never a raise. As my work load has very greatly diminished, I can only assume that the work is going offshore or to new hires at a lesser per line rate. The unremarkable Wedmedx needs to pay for the downtime MTs are incurring because they want to switch everything over to their horrendous ISR. The unremarkable Webmedx requires 1 to 4 hours to get new computers up and running and yet we production people are supposed to make up that time or use our PTO time or just not get paid. I just want you to know what a phenomenal job I think you all did on those atrocious accounts. I QA'ed your work and was amazed at what you could decipher out of those dictations. Anyone else working for/or have worked for both who has noticed a difference in the quality of the ASR on one as compared to the other. I may be crazy, but I think I make far fewer corrections to the ASR on MQ work. Maybe just lucky, but I tend to be a mouse user (I know - shame on me, but I am getting better) and I find my right hand lets me know when I have been using the mouse more. ...
