Transcend is so disorganized with everything. - Amazed

We get a new insurance company as of 7/1.  Yippee - it costs more for everything but that makes no difference to the suits who pull in the big bucks.  But they could have at least planned ahead and made sure our insurance cards got here by 7/1 so we do not have to go in and print one out on a piece of paper because they could not get their act together.  FSA also changes as of 7/1, but now it will be a couple be a couple of weeks before we get any information about that.  Sure, we can pay out of our pocket and request reimbursement from the bank, but as cheap as Transcend is, who can afford to pay out of their pocket and wait to be reimbursed?  I will have less than $20.00 left out of my check after I pay my bills (and none of my bills are for luxury or unnecessary expenses) to last me for the next 17 days for my next check.  Think I can afford the $35.00 co pay for the doctor or to buy my medicine out of that?   But typical Transcend, they won't  do anything that would help the MLS.  Management is really trashy.

Well, I work for Transcend too. The insurance might be going up, but I have insurance through my husband and his is going up too. I think it is going up everyhwere not just with Transcend.

Everyone expected an increase in rates, but we also expected to have what we needed when the insurance was put in place. Nothing is ever "right the first time" with transcend. There are delays and glitches in everything they do and then, just like you have done, they make feeble excuses to cover it up.

You people just find things to come on here and spew about. Lots of companies switch carriers and the cards are not readily available right away.

If you are that broke, find a part-time job or get out of the business.

Whining on here about your jealousy about the owners of Transcend is getting old.

How about you start your own company and buy your own suit and hire your own MTs? Ever thought about that? Probably not; too busy thinking someone owes you something because you sit at a computer and type medical reports. Big Deal!!!!!!!!

No, I am not going sit here and support someone who is blaming the company because they just can't make a go of it. Lots of people are working harder, not just you! Get over it already and deal and find solutions! Quit blaming the managers or CEO of a company just because you don't have the education or talent to do the same.

You seem to very critical as well - stating she is jealous of the owners of Transcend. Come on - nothing was reflected in her post to suggest that. You are opening up a can of worms by your comment stating the poster was blaming the company for not being able to make a go of it. if you are going to bash anyone. I did psych and family medicine for Transcend. I worked in a neurology office for 17 plus years prior to that. I do not know who you think you are mighty fine one - but some of us have had a bad misfortune with Transcend - that does not by any means define that we are not able to cut it!!! In my opinion it takes an act of God to cut it with Transcend. Get off your your high horse and have some respect. I find your comments very RUDE and inconsiderate- but what goes around comes around. Just curious - how many employees have you had in your MT career???

Why are you getting angry at RLee, she has a right to say what she pleases here, just as you do. In the first place, Transcend mismanages a lot of things, particularly with regard to the MTs in the company. You don't really know RLee, yet you are juding her. I was also sacked by Transcend, I'm an excellent transcriptionist with skills in all fields of medicine, I always got high marks with other companies, except for Transcend. I disagreed with a company policy, so I went with the chain of command. Little did I know that I would make some people so nervous that they used someone who was supposedly speaking for us in the company to spy on us, and on this board no less!! They then trumped up charges against me, and guess what, without notice, and without a good reason as to why they were terminating me I was just told we don't want you anymore, so get out!! They did it at the right time, the end of the month. They also knew that the state of Florida does not pay unemployment for people who are terminated, unless the review board sees otherwise. Believe me they show hatred toward those they fire, and they do in a caustic, mean way. So, don't get mad at RLee...by the way I did get a job at another company, and am glad I don't have to deal with such mean spirited and deceitful people.

WhenI worked for Transcend several years ago they paid line count and that was all. If you were not making minimum wage with your line count they did not make it up so you were at least making minimum waage.

I'm now working at local hospital and getting $14.50 an hour with no line count requirements. I know what you mean about the drugs. About three times a year I get a check for 0.00 because all of it has gone either to medicine or food. They have Market Day once a month and I do get about $150.00 of food each month through them.

Everything goes up. My new salary kicks in on this pay period. Last time we got a raise then they turned around and raised the cafeteria prices. It seems you can't win for losing.

And then there is gas. Jumped from 2.58 to 2.76 here today. Will probably be $3.00 by the weekend.

LOL Now Transcend is to blame for increased - healthcare costs.

Get over it already. I work for Transcend also and have the insurance. I can tell you one thing, you won't find the level of insurance they do have available anywhere else. Be glad they changed carriers this year. It's obviously less than what prior BC/BS prices were being increased to.

As far as the card, an email came direct from the insurance carrier yesterday informing that cards were mailed out the day prior. There were instructions to have access to your information should you need to use your benefits before the day or so it took for them to arrive.

No, I'm not management before you start slinging replies. I'm just a peon MLS like you who out of necessity works 2 jobs to take care of my family. I'm just glad to have access to the health plan Transcend offers. Believe me, other companies plans are not all that.

They clearly for weeks posted jobs for transcription only acute care account. When I finally interviewed, it was anything but that with an insulting pay offer. Their reputation is goind down the tubes.!

Was offered a management position with Assistmed for an extremely low salary (well below industry standard).  There was no organization.  Duties were "assumed" with no job description that was suitable.  The account manager I was working for literally "dropped off the face of the Earth" after I had 5 days on the job. The HR rep subsequently managed the account and had no idea how to manage. Was subsequently ask to "move to prodution" which my wrists don't allow ...

I am curious as to if the TLs are meeting their requirements.  They are expected to type 75-80% of their time and get paid by the line as well .  I am very suspicious that they are not typing VR all day, having their work sent to India, etc, and are getting the straight typing.  They get paid a flat fee per month for their administrative duties on top of that.  I wonder if they are experiencing no work and looking at a blank screen most of their time& ...

I have read dozens of posts on the board about Transcend, some good and a lot not so good.  However, I think there is an explanation for some MTs loving it there and others hating it so much. Transcend is a company made up of many other companies through mergers. The original Transcend who existed first, before acquiring other companies seems to be the problem.  On the other hand, for example MDI/Transcend, for the most part does not seem to fit that description. I was with the company for over five years, not once failing to meet the requirements of me yet I was told my position would have to change to 2nd or 3rd shift if I wanted to keep my job as there were no positions available for 1st shift.  Two days after resigning I see they are hiring for 1st shift positions on a typing only platform which is what I wanted. Did anyone else get the memo from Transcend (soon to take over from DTS) about the line rate change for the transitioning employees from DTS?  It was elegantly written, but basically it said that when the accounts are switched over the VR that the line rates will decrease but productivity will increase and no cut in pay is expected.  It is happening exactly how the posters on this board that have been through takeovers by Transcend said - decreased pay.
