Could anyone who works on the oncology account(s) at TT please share their experience. Is there enough work? How are you treated? Is their platform(s) for both straight transcription and VR good enough to produce the required lines count(s)? I would appreciate hearing from you. Thank you.

If you work the evening shift, you will have plenty of work. The work doesn't flow in until noon EST, as the account is in the West. I have plenty of work. There is 95%/5% VR/straight. You are left alone to do your work. I am editing 18K-22K a pay period, sometimes better when I concentrate. There are ESLs, but they are distinguishable. The platform is Escription. It's amazing how well it can decipher things I could not in a million years. I would say go for it.

How can that be worth it...At 0.045 per line for editing that works out to be 3line $12.375 per hour for an 80 hour payperiod...that is not really good money in my opinion....

And that's provided you have enough work for an 8 hour shift every day - Work very often sporadic

No message, great people and company, just not enough work a lot of the times, no matter which shift or account you are on. Seems to happen more frequently than at other companies where there is the expected holiday slow down, etc. I left because I went from editing around 30,000 per pay period when there was ample work to doing good to maintain minimum. Three accounts, not enough work, and 95% editing. Just way overstaffed or something, IMO.

This particular account always has work starting at noon EST. I could not afford to stay at a place that did not have enough work for me. I am able to live on the lines I produce because I live minimally and frugally. There might be days around holidays or the end of the pay period when the work is slow or out. It is my experience, since I am currently working there, that there is plenty of work, and they are always asking for help in the evenings for this specific account.

What are the line requirements? - anon

I am an oncology MT with TransTech and have been sitting and waiting for work to come in for weeks. In the last 2 weeks, I have had about 16 hours worth of work. Our hospital does not accept abbreviations for oncology medications. So, for R-CHOP we have to type - R = Rituximab C = Cyclophosphamide H = Doxorubicin Hydrochloride (Hydroxydaunomycin) O = Vincristine Sulfate (Oncovin) P = Prednisone Not in a format like that, but I didn't want to type them all out.
