Can anyone provide the positives/negatives for these companies? TIA.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE PRECYSE.!!!!! I have all the work I want and usually OT is offered every week. They pay well and leave you alone to work.

Curious about Precyse VR vs straight typing - lka

I have been with TTS for over a year now and think I started at a pretty low rate when you look at my years of experience and high QA scores. I just asked for an increase and gave the reasons why I think it is justified. Just asked yesterday, but so far, have heard nothing. I am ready to make a move if the money is better and work too. My account is starting to run out of work and it makes me very uneasy. It's either feast of famine. Do you do acute care... OP notes, HP, consults, DS? Is it mostly VR or what is the proportion of VR to straight? Thanks for any information you can give me about Precyse. Feel free to email me if you wish.

Depends on your accounts...My primary is 80% ASR but their ASR is VERY good and their platform is great too. I'm averaging 320 lph but have hit 600 lph before when I get a string of really good dictators that need hardly any corrections.

I loved it at first, but then came the endless emails about your system activity. I work hard, some days not even taking a break, and my hours still come up short at times. I thought I was the only one with this problem, but there are many others who brought this up while on a recent phone conference.

Yes, the ASR is nice and the work is there, but one TM in particular will drive you crazy with her relentless pursuit of why you are 5 minutes off on your time for the day....and, good luck if you get sick and miss a day of work. You'll never hear the end of it.

Gives me something to think about. I appreciate the info you all provided. I did go to their website and look it over, but have not applied yet. Right now I am using Escription and love it. Hope it is that or something just as good.

I think I also saw that they provide you with a computer? Is that right? That would be great if they do.

Yes, they provide the computer. Fortunately, unlike other companies, a deposit is not required. Honestly, other than my TM, the company as a whole seems better than most. Good luck wherever you go. :)

Precyse uses M-Modal - sm

Precyse uses M-Modal as its VR engine in combination with a transcription program that is the same as MQ's DocQscribe. Except they've tweaked their version DQS and call it PrecyseType. On the accounts that I was on, they set the percentages on their M-Modal at around 75%, meaning only 75% of the VR voice file needed to be correct, so I was editing somewhere around 1 out of every 4 words in the VR drafts. The poster above who said her VR drafts are almost perfect doesn't know how lucky she is because my experience and other MTs I know who work there, the VR was not very good.

And yes, they are sticklers on your schedule. They kept track of how much time you are in the system and how much of that time you are actively working (keyboarding or foot pedaling). So, if you take a break, they know exactly how long it took you to get back to work.

I tried to apply for an MT job with Precyse last night, but was given a message that they aren't "hiring in my area." Has anybody else run into this? For MT Week last week we got Sonic Rocks which are testicle-shaped shiny black magnets. HR just sent around a warning that they're very strong magnets and to not keep them anywhere near the computer or anything that stores info magnetically because people are accidentally erasing their hard drives with these stupid things. I work at Precyse and it seems things have been strange lately and I was wondering if any of my fellow slaves know what's happening there. I was just wondering what is happening at Precyse. I left Precyse last month after they sent my fourth account over to India, and there was no work. Management kept telling us to be patient and just use PTO, but we had not really had any work for months and had already used up most of the PTO.
